Senior Software Engineer, Design

About the Role

Join a fintech product team as a senior engineer focused on design and frontend craft. You will help turn complex mortgage workflows into intuitive, polished experiences, partnering across product and engineering from early concepts through production implementation.

What You'll Do

• Own the design process from Figma wireframes through implementation in React and TypeScript.

• Build and maintain a scalable design system and component library using shadcn/ui.

• Create accessible, production-quality React components with thoughtful ARIA, keyboard, and focus management.

• Collaborate with product and engineering to make complex mortgage workflows clear and easy to use.

• Set and uphold visual and interaction standards across the product.

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience in design engineering, frontend engineering, or full-stack software engineering, with senior-level experience.

• A strong production engineering background, especially with React and TypeScript.

• Deep Figma skills, including libraries, variants, and auto-layout.

• Experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries.

• Experience with Tailwind CSS and tools such as shadcn/ui; familiarity with Vite, GraphQL, Apollo Client, or Turborepo is relevant.

• Background building complex, data-dense B2B software or polished consumer experiences, ideally in growth-oriented, design-focused teams.

• A portfolio or personal site demonstrating strong visual and interaction design craft is valued.

• Strong computer science fundamentals and familiarity with AI-native product design are helpful.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $150,000 to $350,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
