Senior Software Engineer - AI & Data (Remote, LATAM)

ITX is Hiring a Senior Software Engineer with AI & Data Skills! 

We’re looking for an Engineer with deep expertise in Data and AI to design and implement scalable, AI-driven solutions that power exceptional user experiences.

In this role, you’ll focus on building chatbot platforms and data flows, enabling intelligent interactions and seamless integration across systems. You’ll work in a cloud-agnostic environment, leveraging GCP, Azure, and AWS to deliver dynamic, multi-cloud solutions that adapt to evolving client needs.

Note: This role is limited to candidates based in LATAM. Candidates from other locations will not be considered for this role. 

What You'll Do: 

• Design and implement scalable, secure data pipelines across multi-cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using modern orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Spark, and cloud-native services.
• Build and optimize data processing frameworks with technologies such as Apache Beam, DLT, DBT, and Snowflake.
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to operationalize machine learning models and integrate AI services (Azure AI, AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, Databricks MLflow).
• Implement data quality, governance, and observability practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Design and maintain data models and analytical layers that power self-service analytics and BI solutions.
• Continuously evaluate emerging tools and frameworks to deliver best-in-class performance and cost efficiency.
  

What We're Looking For: 

• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, AWS (Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR), Azure (Synapse, Data Lake), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Vertex AI).
• Strong understanding of Delta Lake, Spark optimization, and distributed data processing.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud architecture and secure data movement.
• Data Engineering Skills: Proficiency in Python, experience with Apache Airflow, DBT, and scalable ETL/ELT frameworks.
• AI Integration: Knowledge of MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure ML for deploying models at scale.
• Governance & Security: Understanding of data lineage, cataloging tools, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
• Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, excellent communication, and ability to explain technical concepts to both engineers and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• English bilingual proficiency.

Preferred Certifications:

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer (Associate or Professional)
• Snowflake SnowPro Core / Advanced Architect
• AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer or AI Engineer Associate

In LATAM the pay range for the Senior Software Engineer with AI & Data Skills role is $5,300 to $7,500 monthly, depending on experience, specific skills and certifications, and education. Based on your location in LATAM pay ranges could be adjusted according to local market data, which can vary from country to country. This variation percentage could be 16% lower or 14% higher.
