Senior Software Engineer, AI Agents

About the Role

Join a small product and engineering team at a Series D marketing technology company, building AI experiences that help teams use their data to answer questions and improve marketing workflows. This role combines rapid prototyping with the architecture and development of production ready AI applications.

What You'll Do

• Prototype and test ideas for applying AI to data and marketing workflows.

• Work closely with product and engineering teammates to develop and ship new product ideas.

• Make architectural and framework decisions for LLM based systems.

• Evaluate where different AI approaches and language models work well, and where they do not.

• Build production data agents that answer analytics and data science questions using company data.

• Learn user workflows and create seamless AI assisted experiences.

What We're Looking For

• Five to twelve years of software engineering experience, ideally building core product features in an AI or machine learning context.

• Strong backend engineering skills and experience with TypeScript.

• Experience building complex AI applications beyond basic retrieval augmented generation, with a practical understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations.

• Product engineering experience in a fast paced, venture backed startup environment, with strong product intuition and customer focus.

• A strong computer science or mathematics foundation, including exposure to AI coursework.

• Evidence of increasing scope, strong technical judgment, structured thinking, and clear communication.

• Experience as an early engineering hire or founder, and building products from initial concept through iteration, is valuable.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $200,000 to $320,000. Visa sponsorship is available.
