Senior Software Developer (Work from Anywhere in India)

Role Overview

The Senior Software Developer is responsible for creating highly usable, optimized, and scalable software solutions that demonstrate stability after thorough functional and technical analysis. This role requires writing quality code, analyzing and resolving reported issues quickly, designing optimized database structures, managing development sprints, and participating in code reviews.

Working in close coordination with Project Managers and cross-functional teams, the Sr. Developer brings deep technical expertise, disciplined code execution, and strong problem-solving capabilities to every development engagement. The Sr. Developer serves as a technical leader and mentor — grooming junior developers, establishing coding standards, and ensuring successful on-schedule project completion while continuously updating technical knowledge and skills. 

Roles & Responsibilities

1.      Software Development & Code Quality

• Create highly usable, optimized, and scalable software that is stable after thorough functional and technical analysis by writing quality code.
  
• Follow coding standards, best practices, and design patterns consistently across all development work.
  
• Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to quality standards and providing constructive feedback.
  
• Maintain code repositories and ensure proper version control and change management practices.
  

2.      Analysis & Issue Resolution

• Analyze any reported issues and bugs for quick resolution while maintaining code stability.
  
• Identify root causes of defects and implement permanent solutions.
  
• Collaborate with QA teams to reproduce and validate defect fixes.
  
• Proactively identify technical debt and recommend refactoring approaches.
  

• Design optimized database structures with normalization for projects as per functional requirements.
  
• Develop efficient SQL queries and ensure optimal database performance.
  
• Implement data security practices and ensure data integrity across applications.
  
• Collaborate with architects on system design and technical solution approaches.
  

4.       Sprint Management & Project Execution

• Plan and manage development sprints for successful completion of projects.
  
• Estimate effort, track progress, and communicate status transparently.
  
• Identify and escalate project risks and dependencies in a timely manner.
  
• Contribute to project planning and technical feasibility assessments.
  

5.       Team Leadership & Professional Development

• Groom and train junior developers for required technical and related skills for successful project completion.
  
• Mentor team members and establish a culture of continuous learning and code excellence.
  
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
  
• Constantly update and incorporate technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading technical literature, and exploring emerging applications.
  

Requirements

Qualification / Skill-sets

• BCA / B.E. / B.Sc. (IT) or other Technical Graduates/Post-Graduates with formal course-work in Software Development
  
• 3 – 5 years of experience in Software Development on .Net Technologies
  
• In-depth knowledge of ASP.Net, C#, VB.Net, MVC, .Net Core, Angular and related .Net frameworks
  
• Proficiency in MS-SQL / Oracle databases and SQL query optimization
  
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) principles and design patterns
  
• Knowledge of XML, Web Services, RESTful APIs, and integration concepts
  
• Sound understanding of System Analysis & Design concepts
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
  
• Keen desire to research and learn emerging technologies and ability to convert these meaningfully into products
  

Added Advantage Qualification / Skill-sets

• Prior experience of 3+ years in a senior role / job profile for Software Development in an IT Products Development Company
  
• Prior working experience with SCRUM methodology and Agile development practices
  
• Knowledge of Mobile App development on iOS and Android platforms
  
• Knowledge of Designing and Software Testing methodologies would be advantageous
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
  
• Experience with micro services architecture and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
  
• Strong written communication and documentation skills
  
• Problem-solving capability and lateral thinking ability as part of a team or individually
