Senior Software Developer

As a member of the Development team and working closely with the product management team, the

Senior Software Developer is generally responsible for the development, design and documentation of new or modified software products and ongoing business projects. The incumbent aid in the innovation and creation of Multiview Financial Software and programs.

Senior Software Developer works alongside the team of developers to build application that meets the need of the company and the client. The incumbent facilitates the proper design and implementation of the software from detailed computer coding to innovative design. The incumbent is an asset when creating a seamless software experience for our clients. The Software Developer works on both technical, deign aspects of software projects.

What you will be doing:

• Develop software programming and document an intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the company and the software
• Professionally maintain all programs and create updates regularly to address Multiview and client’s concerns by maintaining cross-team collaboration
• Identify issues with AI generated code.
• Make use of AI coding agents (e.g. GitHub copilot) to triage and fix issues.
• Make use of automated tools to double-check the code.
• Implement event-driven agentic workflows to perform complex development tasks.
• Troubleshoot coding problems efficiently and quickly to ensure a productive workspace
• Ensure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
• Actively seeks ways to improve business software processes and interactions
• Analyze information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system
• Confer with project managers and other departments to obtain information on limitations or capabilities
• Aid, support the coaching, and training of other team members to ensure all employees are confident in the use of software applications
• Fulfill a role of functional leadership – Project Lead/Scrum Master.
• Expected to play an Advisory role on technologies and best development practices.
• Able to represent Multiview with Customers or technical forums.
• Able to participate in Customer opportunity assessment by contributing to RFP process.
• Deeper knowledge of the main ERP modules and functional areas.

Competencies Profile: 

• Software Development Skills–Software Developers know how design, develop, and test software applications. Ability to provide AI coding agents with precise and context-rich prompts regrading business logic, constraints and architecture, coding standards and domain-specific logic. This level of expertise is gained through extensive on the job experience
• AI Skills – Ability to build AI-augmented architectures with specific AI tools and models into robust production grade applications. Design LLM using RAG pipelines and Vector Databases.
• Data Analytics Skills- Ability to design and implement data analytics solutions that transform structured and unstructured data into actionable business insights. Experience developing dashboards, reporting solutions, data pipelines, and AI-powered analytics platforms.
• Interpersonal Skills – Ability to effectively communicate and work with various team members both internally and externally. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
• Teamwork – Software Developers are strong team players. They work with multiple teams cross-functionally, and they know how to effectively address the needs of each team while always keeping the client’s outcomes as the driver
• Problem solving – Proactive in anticipating, analyzing, and resolving complex technical and business challenges. Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to leverage AI-assisted reasoning, data-driven insights, and modern engineering practices to identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions
• Time management – Software Developers are extremely organized at managing their time and prioritizing. They can organize their schedule appropriately to meet commitments and project deadlines

You are someone who has: 

• Computer Science degree, diploma, Masters OR equivalent work experience
• 7 or more years of experience in software development
• Experience developing software utilizing various coding languages including C#, SQL and thorough programming knowledge, skills with Oracle PL/SQL are required
• Experience in Oracle Database development is highly desirable
• Experience with Github Copilot or an equivalent is highly desirable.
• Experience building or integrating AI-powered solutions, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases (pinecone, Amazon S3 JSON, pgvector etc..), or intelligent agents, is considered an asset.
• Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications
• Analyze code for weaknesses and errors, and present detailed plans to improve them
• Heightened attention to detail & strong analytical technical problem-solving skill
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills are essential (verbal and written)
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines for multiple, concurrent projects
• Ability to quickly gain working knowledge of product, interpret requirements, and recommend solutions
• Must have strong communication, research, problem-solving, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organization, planning, prioritization, and time management skills
• A results-oriented mindset with passion for delivering a quality product for our stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment
• Experience with .NET CORE and JavaScript is considered an asset
• Experience with accounting/financial applications is considered an asset

The expected salary range for this role is $130,000–$170,000 CAD annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
