Senior SAP Engineer

About the role:

As a Senior SAP Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. 

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer to lead, design, and implement high-performance technical solutions across our SAP ecosystem. In this role, you will play a key technical leadership role in driving both core ABAP customization and modern SAP technology adoptions (such as S/4HANA migrations, CDS views, and RESTful Application Programming/RAP).

You will collaborate closely with functional SAP consultants, SAP basis team.

Responsibilities:

• Software Development & Architecture: Design, build, test, and maintain complex custom solutions using object-oriented ABAP (ABAP OO), ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP), and ABAP Programming Model for Fiori
• System Enhancements & Customization: Develop custom reports, user exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework components, and dialog transactions across core modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI/CO, PP)
• Data Modeling & Modernization: Create and optimize Core Data Services (CDS Views), SAP AMDPs, and OData services (v2/v4) for analytical and transactional applications
• Integrations: Implement interface mechanisms using REST API, SOAP, IDocs, RFC, BAPI
• Code Review & Quality Assurance: Enforce SAP Clean Code guidelines, perform regular code reviews, optimize database performance, and conduct root-cause analysis for system defects
• Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Guide junior/mid-level developers, contribute to architecture decisions, and document technical design specifications

Requirements:

• Commercial Experience: 5+ years of dedicated hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development
• Core Technical Expertise:
  • Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP (ABAP OO)
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA environments and database optimizations
  • Modern ABAP skills: CDS Views, OData Services, and RESTful Application Programming (RAP)
  • Classic enhancement techniques: BAdI, User Exits, Customer Exits, and BAPI/IDoc interfaces
• Output Technologies: Experience with Adobe Forms, SmartForms, or SAPscript
• Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models and Git version control for ABAP
• Language Requirements:
  • Fluent in English (B2/C1 level minimum) for cross-border collaboration
  • Polish language skills are a strong plus (or required, depending on company preference)

Desirable:

• Practical knowledge of SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 frontend development
• Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP)
• Functional understanding of core SAP modules (SD, MM, FI, WM/EWM)
• German language proficiency (B2+)
