About project:

We are looking for a Senior React / TypeScript Frontend Engineer to join a project delivered for a leading international transportation company specializing in railcar leasing, maintenance, and telematics services. With more than 125 years of international experience, the company operates across more than 20 countries and manages a large fleet of modern tank and freight railcars.

This role is focused on developing and evolving modern, business-critical web applications using a contemporary React and TypeScript technology stack. You will be working with a modern frontend architecture built around React, Nx, Vite, and a strong focus on quality, testing, maintainability, and developer experience.

You will be:

• developing modern frontend applications using TypeScript and the latest version of React with React Compiler,
• building and maintaining applications within an Nx monorepo,
• developing reusable UI components and frontend architecture using React and MUI,
• implementing responsive and maintainable styling using Emotion,
• building and maintaining reusable components and documenting them through Storybook,
• developing forms using React Hook Form and implementing schema validation with Zod or Superstruct,
• managing application state and data fetching using Zustand and TanStack Query,
• developing and maintaining unit and integration tests using Vitest and React Testing Library,
• implementing end-to-end tests using Playwright,
• ensuring code quality and consistency through ESLint, Prettier, Husky, Commitizen, and Commitlint,
• working with Vite as the module bundler and pnpm as the package manager,
• implementing logging and application monitoring using CloudWatch RUM,
• collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver maintainable and scalable frontend solutions,
• applying AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude throughout planning, implementation, code review, and testing,
• evaluating different AI models based on their capabilities, cost, and suitability for specific development tasks,
• applying knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) and identifying relevant use cases for AI-assisted development,
• contributing to frontend best practices, code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.

Your profile:

• strong professional experience with TypeScript and React,
• hands-on experience building production-grade frontend applications,
• strong understanding of modern React development and component-based architecture,
• experience working with Nx and monorepo-based frontend projects,
• experience with modern frontend build tools such as Vite,
• experience with component libraries such as MUI and styling solutions such as Emotion,
• experience with React Hook Form and schema validation libraries such as Zod or Superstruct,
• solid understanding of frontend state management and data fetching, preferably with Zustand and TanStack Query,
• strong experience with frontend testing, including unit and integration testing with Vitest and React Testing Library,
• hands-on experience with Playwright or another modern E2E testing framework,
• understanding of frontend code quality and development tooling such as ESLint, Prettier, Husky, and Commitlint,
• experience with Git and modern software development workflows,
• strong understanding of frontend performance, maintainability, and scalability,
• ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other engineers and stakeholders.

• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery.

• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• hands-on experience with React Compiler,
• experience developing and maintaining component libraries with Storybook,
• experience with CloudWatch RUM or similar frontend observability solutions,
• practical experience with AI-assisted development using Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude,
• knowledge of MCP and AI-assisted engineering workflows,
• experience evaluating and selecting AI models based on cost, capabilities, and use case,
• experience working in large-scale Nx monorepos,
• experience with modern frontend architecture and design systems.

• Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.

• Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
