About the opportunity
The Senior Project Officer provides day-to day coordination and operational delivery of the Farm Safety Project. Working closely with the project team, the role will assist in implementing project activities, monitoring progress against milestones and deliverables, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities and supporting the preparation of project reports and documentation.
The position plays a key role in ensuring the project operates efficiently across multiple workstreams by supporting project planning, scheduling, communication, administration and reporting requirements. The Senior Project Officer will contribute to maintaining project timelines, tracking progress against agreed outcomes and assisting with the preparation of milestone reports.
Reporting to the Project Lead, the Senior Project Officer works collaboratively under the supervision of the project leadership team and will liaise with growers, industry stakeholders, service providers and external partners to support project implementations and engagement activities.
This position ensures compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory controls and ensures a safe working environment for all staff and students in accordance with The University of Sydney policy.
The location of this position is negotiable within rural New South Wales. Interstate travel within Australia is a requirement of this position.
Occasional out of hours work and flexible working are required of this role.
