Senior Product Manager: Portal & Platform
Overview
Extra Duty Solutions runs the infrastructure that powers off-duty and extra duty programs for ~250 law enforcement agencies nationwide. We are expanding aggressively: new markets, new payment rails a platform consolidation. We need a PM who has shipped things at scale, not just planned them. This role owns the portal experience across officers, customers, and internal teams, and sits at the center of everything we are building next. If you have driven large-scale product launches end-to-end and you know what it takes to bring a market online, read on.
What You'll Own
Portal consolidation, merging our officer-facing and customer-facing web experiences into a cohesive, scalable platform
The officer and customer product experience across web and mobile surfaces
Roadmap prioritization in close partnership with engineering, ops, and account management
PRD authorship: sharp, decision-ready documents that give engineering what they need to move
Launch strategy and execution for new features, integrations, and market expansions
The product feedback loop from account managers and agency clients to engineering
What You'll Ship in Year One
Consolidated portal with unified authentication, role-based access, and a coherent UX across all three audiences
Instant pay integration, a net-new revenue stream that lets officers get paid same-day for completed details
Foundational instrumentation: usage tracking, funnel visibility, and a feedback pipeline that does not run through email
A repeatable launch playbook, documented, tested, and ready to execute as we expand into new markets
What We're Looking For
5+ years in product management, with at least two years owning a platform or multi-sided product
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale market launches or expansion initiatives, from go/no-go through rollout, adoption, and post-launch stabilization
Experience coordinating cross-functional launches across sales, ops, account management, and engineering
Fluent in both front-end and back-end integration concepts; you do not need to write the code, but you need to understand the constraints
Proven PRD authorship: documents that engineering trusts and stakeholders sign off on
Comfort working through intermediaries (account managers, agency leads) to surface and validate user needs
Deep understanding of tech-enabled services: software that supports human service delivery, not pure SaaS
Candidates residing in North Carolina or Texas are preferred
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience with payments, marketplace mechanics, or instant pay products
Background in public safety, field services, workforce management, or similarly operationally complex domains
Used gen AI tools to accelerate prototyping, spec-writing, or research synthesis
Has personally managed an agency, regional, or market-expansion launch, not just contributed to one
Familiarity with law enforcement agency procurement or onboarding dynamics
Why EDS
We are not a startup trying to find product-market fit. We have it. We are a growth-stage company with real revenue, real agencies, and a clear expansion roadmap. The person in this role will have a direct influence on how we enter new markets, how officers get paid, and how a platform used by tens of thousands of people gets meaningfully better. You will work with a small, senior team. Your decisions will ship.
