Role Description

As Senior Product Manager for our Clinical Lab and Blood Transfusion Management System portfolio across Europe, excluding UKI, the postholder will be accountable for maximising the portfolio’s contribution to business growth.

Working closely with global Product teams and regional Sales, Marketing, Customer Services, Support, Clinical/Domain and Engineering colleagues, the postholder will translate regional market needs, trends, regulatory considerations, competitor activity and customer outcomes into a clear product strategy, roadmap and measurable commercial impact.

The role will drive adoption, retention, win rates and expansion within strategic accounts while ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance and patient safety. The postholder will maintain a strong regional market presence, developing an influential network of customers, partners, industry stakeholders and senior decision-makers, and acting as a visible and recognised product leader across the European market.

Responsibilities

  • Own regional product growth outcomes for the Clinical Lab and Blood Transfusion Management portfolio, defining and monitoring objectives and KPIs linked to commercial performance, adoption, retention and customer value.

  • Develop, communicate and continually refine the regional product vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap, aligned with market needs, regulatory requirements and Clinisys’ global strategy.

  • Maintain comprehensive market intelligence through engagement with key customers, partners and industry influencers, monitoring customer needs, market trends, policy developments, competitor activity and ecosystem changes.

  • Drive an AI-first, data-led product operating cadence covering customer insights, backlog health, roadmap reviews and release readiness, while continually improving product management governance and stakeholder communication.

  • Lead Voice of Customer, product discovery, solution design and backlog prioritisation activities in partnership with Product, Engineering and UX, ensuring customer needs and laboratory workflows directly inform product decisions.

  • Act as a Clinical Pathology and Blood Bank subject matter expert, translating clinical, operational, regulatory and patient-safety requirements into clear product requirements and delivery decisions.

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing on launches, messaging, bids, tenders and win-loss improvement, while owning key regional delivery partnerships, system integrator relationships and third-party integrations.

  • Monitor product performance across usage, adoption, retention, NPS, upgrade patterns, support drivers and commercial outcomes, leading structured improvement actions where required.

  • Represent Product Management at regional leadership forums, customer meetings and industry events, and mentor junior Product Managers and Product Analysts.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Deep understanding of Clinical Pathology and/or Blood Bank laboratory workflows, operational models, challenges, constraints and clinical safety considerations relevant to LIS/LIMS usage.

  • Strong market orientation, with the ability to navigate complex European healthcare ecosystems, build trusted senior relationships and represent the product at external events and executive forums.

  • Strong product management capability across strategy, discovery, roadmap development, requirements definition, backlog prioritisation and agile software delivery.

  • Expertise in Voice of Customer practices, including interviews, workshops, hypothesis testing, insight synthesis, value quantification and problem framing.

  • Knowledge of healthcare standards and interoperability frameworks, including HL7 and FHIR, and the ability to collaborate with regulatory and quality experts.

  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen, including pricing, packaging, tenders, RFP responses, competitive analysis and value messaging.

  • Highly analytical approach, with the ability to interpret product usage, customer behaviour, operational and commercial data.

  • Practical experience using generative and agentic AI tools for research, insight synthesis, documentation, ideation and analysis in accordance with governance and responsible-use principles.

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executive and external audiences.

Required Experience & Education

  • At least three years’ hands-on experience working as a Clinical Pathology and/or Blood Bank laboratory technician is essential.

  • MBA and/or master’s degree in Health Administration, Information Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Clinical Pathology or Blood Bank is essential.

  • At least three years’ experience as a Product Manager in a software development organisation, or equivalent relevant experience through sales, marketing, product development, implementation and/or support of Clinisys products, is essential.

  • Recognition as a thought leader within the Clinical Pathology and/or Blood Bank industry, including an established professional network, awareness of market direction and experience presenting at trade shows or conferences, is essential.

  • Hands-on experience using generative AI technologies within product management, another professional role or through self-directed experimentation or projects is essential.

  • Product Focus, Pragmatic Marketing or another recognised product management certification is desirable.

  • Experience using Aha! Roadmaps to support product strategy and feature prioritisation is desirable.

  • Experience using Clinisys Laboratory Information Management Systems is desirable.

Location: Belgium

Salary: €105,444 - €158,166 (per annum, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications)

Onboarding
