We are looking for a highly hands-on Lead Full-Stack Product Engineer to take end-to-end technical ownership of a production-grade SaaS platform. This role is suited for a senior engineer who enjoys building products, solving complex technical problems, and working across the entire technology stack rather than focusing on a narrow engineering function.
You will be responsible for owning the product across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, AI workflows, third-party integrations, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, security, observability, analytics, billing, and production operations. The role requires strong technical ownership and the ability to connect engineering decisions directly to customer acquisition, activation, conversion, retention, and revenue.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take end-to-end technical ownership of the production SaaS platform, including codebase, infrastructure, integrations, data, and operational systems.
- Audit existing repositories, dependencies, architecture, infrastructure, and deployment processes and establish clear technical documentation and runbooks.
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance full-stack web applications and backend services.
- Build scalable frontend experiences, backend APIs, account administration, onboarding, reporting, and self-service product workflows.
- Maintain secure multi-tenant SaaS architecture, including authentication, authorization, RBAC, and tenant isolation.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs, OAuth 2.0 integrations, webhooks, third-party SDKs, queues, workers, schedulers, retries, and idempotent workflows.
- Build and maintain integrations with Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant social or business platforms.
- Manage OAuth permissions, API scopes, webhooks, content publishing, scheduling, data retrieval, and platform-specific workflows.
- Integrate and operate LLM and generative-AI systems for recommendations, content generation, sentiment analysis, and intelligent product workflows.
- Design and test prompts, monitor AI quality, latency, and costs, and implement appropriate safeguards against issues such as prompt injection.
- Maintain content publishing and workflow engines with reliable scheduling, queue processing, retry mechanisms, and time-zone-aware execution.
- Manage SaaS subscription and billing workflows, including recurring plans, payment webhooks, customer entitlements, and subscription lifecycle events.
- Manage transactional email systems, templates, sending domains, authentication standards, and deliverability.
- Implement GA4, Google Tag Manager, product analytics, event tracking, UTM persistence, advertising attribution, and conversion tracking.
- Build product dashboards and measurement systems connecting acquisition activity with activation, conversion, retention, and revenue.
- Establish accurate funnel measurement across impressions, landing-page visits, search activity, sign-ups, product activation, platform connections, retention, and churn.
- Implement technical SEO improvements, structured data, crawler accessibility, and other product-led growth initiatives where required.
- Own CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, database migrations, deployment, rollback, monitoring, alerting, and production incident response.
- Ensure appropriate practices for secrets management, security, backups, restoration, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.
- Continuously improve application performance, scalability, reliability, security, and engineering efficiency.
- Maintain clear technical documentation covering architecture, integrations, operational procedures, and production systems.
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong hands-on full-stack development expertise.
- Proven experience building and operating production-grade SaaS or web applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and experience with modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong backend development experience using the relevant programming language and framework, with expertise in API design and development.
- Solid experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, database migrations, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, third-party SDKs, asynchronous processing, queues, workers, schedulers, retries, and idempotency.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, production deployments, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response.
- Strong understanding of secure multi-tenant SaaS architecture, authentication, authorization, RBAC, tenant isolation, and credential management.
- Production experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or equivalent LLM platforms is required.
- Proven experience integrating social, business, marketing, or third-party platform APIs.
- Strong understanding of MarTech, product analytics, funnel measurement, attribution, and conversion tracking.
- Experience with several of the following: GA4, Google Tag Manager, UTM tracking, advertising attribution, product-event taxonomy, SaaS onboarding, activation, trial-to-paid conversion, lifecycle email, A/B testing, CRO, PQL identification, technical SEO, CRM/marketing automation, and retention analytics.
- Experience with Google Business Profile APIs is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok APIs and subscription billing platforms such as Stripe is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of production AI recommendation or content-generation systems is an advantage.
- Comfortable taking ownership of an existing codebase and infrastructure built by another engineer, team, or agency.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, documentation, and technical decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly autonomous, proactive, and comfortable operating with significant ownership and limited engineering resources.
- A senior hands-on builder who remains deeply involved in coding and technical execution rather than functioning purely as a people manager.
- Willingness to take complete responsibility for the reliability, security, scalability, and continuous improvement of a production application.
