Senior Producer

Description

Devil May Care Studios is looking to hire an Editorial Producer for The Megyn Kelly Show, a daily, two-hour news, politics, legal, and cultural live radio show and video and audio podcast. The Editorial Producer will report to the executive producer of the show, and work closely with the full staff and the talent.

This position is a remote position, and can be located anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Help in the creation of research packets for various guests and segments
• Pre-interview guests as necessary
• Closely follow the news cycle, and formulate original story angles and guest ideas
• Carry out thorough research, and obtain any materials needed for production including SOTs and other elements
• Strategize with colleagues on the best possible guests and potential show topics
• Work in collaboration with the host, guests, and other program contributors in order to meet established production standards
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Journalism background encouraged
• Passion for breaking news, political news, and more
• Comfortable collaborating closely with a high-profile talent
• Ability to work independently and within a group
• Interest in podcasts and videos shows, and other emerging broadcast platforms
• Familiarity with broadcast and sound editing equipment a plus
• Willing to travel when necessary
• Flexibility to work later hours as breaking news merits
