Position Title: Senior Product Operations Lead

Location: Remote LATAM

What you will be doing:

The mission of this role is to create the leadership, operating structure, and stakeholder confidence needed for Lean to support the platform execution at scale. This individual must be a senior, business-savvy professional who can establish immediate credibility with product, engineering, delivery, and executive stakeholders. While deep, hands-on engineering expertise is not required, the candidate must possess the technical literacy necessary to fully comprehend platform operations, product onboarding workflows, release support, incident patterns, and cloud delivery risks.

About the platform:

The platform is building a repeatable product and platform operating model that turns Slalom's market insight, client relationships, and delivery capability into scalable products and IP-backed businesses. The platform is the foundational multi-tenant SaaS hosting platform beneath this entire portfolio. It provides the vital scaffolding that sits between hosted software products and purchasing customer organizations, managing shared capabilities like customer onboarding, billing, tiered packaging, and runtime registries.  A portfolio of scaling products all depends on this underlying foundation becoming increasingly stable and operable. Architecturally, the platform runs on AWS, utilizing Amazon EKS on Fargate, Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, and isolated Amazon Cognito user pools to maintain strict tenant boundaries. As the platform transitions from product buildout into long-term operations, this role allows the customer to safely scale execution capacity through Lean while keeping product direction, architecture control, and final accountability strictly Slalom-owned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and establish the initial Lean/Slalom Launch operating model, governance rhythm, and communication cadence.
  • Establish deep, respectful operational relationships across OE (Original Engineering), Slalom Launch leadership, Lean Global, individual product owners, and technical specialists.
  • Translate broad capacity into highly practical, structured work packages complete with distinct outcomes, explicit owners, clear acceptance criteria, downstream dependencies, and structured escalation paths.
  • Establish and maintain strict boundaries that separate Slalom-retained accountabilities (product direction, architecture standards, customer commitments, commercial decisions, and incident-command authority) from Lean-executable workloads.
  • Oversee the end-to-end knowledge transfer lifecycle, including shadowing protocols, readiness gates, risk mitigation, and tracking open platform decisions.
  • Provide concise, high-impact, executive-ready visibility into transition progress, operational blockers, and strategic next steps.
  • Analyze the maturity of the operation over time to identify and define subsequent technical and operational roles needed as the LATAM capacity expands.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of prior experience working alongside multi-tenant SaaS platforms or cloud architectures hosting a portfolio of dependent products.
  • Proven track record of leading sensitive delivery transitions, complex operating model evolutions, partner integrations, or managed-services implementations.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence with a demonstrated ability to manage incumbent team dynamics respectfully and collaboratively without sacrificing execution velocity.
  • Naturally thinks in terms of absolute ownership boundaries, strict governance frameworks, readiness gates, risk mitigation, and tangible business outcomes.
  • Fluent communicator capable of translating concepts seamlessly between technical platform engineers, corporate product owners, delivery leads, and executive sponsors.
  • Enough baseline technical fluency in modern cloud paradigms (SaaS architectures, AWS cloud environments, IaC/CI-CD workflows) to ask the right qualifying questions and accurately identify when to pull in deep technical specialists.
  • Acts and feels like a credible, trusted extension of the Slalom Launch leadership team, rather than functioning merely as a passive project coordinator.

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience optimizing application onboarding patterns or operational runbooks within a shared platform model.
  • Deep understanding of AWS environment and services, such as Lambda, CloudFront, and AWS Cognito.
  • Deep understanding of standard authentication services: JWTs (JSON Web Tokens) and standard OIDC/SAML tokens.
  • Exposure to integrations, APIs, and HTTP communication protocols.

Soft Skills
  • Exceptional diplomatic skills and high emotional intelligence to navigate and manage incumbent-team dynamics respectfully without sacrificing forward progress.
  • Strong cross-functional agility and communication skills to work seamlessly across diverse product, platform, delivery, operations, and support audiences.
  • Strong professional presence, acting and feeling like a credible, trusted extension of Slalom Launch LATAM leadership rather than functioning purely as a tactical project coordinator.

Critical First 60-90 Day Deliverables

  • A formalized, transparent view mapping out exactly what responsibilities Lean can safely take on first.
  • A highly practical, milestone-driven knowledge-transfer and shadowing plan coordinated directly with the OE team.
  • A fully defined work package for the onboarding of the Pilot application, clarifying all owners, success criteria, and blockers.
  • Successful oversight of the technical profile's initial shadowing across the OE team's AWS configurations, IaC templates, CI/CD pipelines, and release paths.
  • Demonstrable early hands-on progress regarding the Pilot platform onboarding pipeline.
  • An operational governance cadence that makes all project risks, blockers, updates, and decisions fully visible to stakeholders.
  • A data-driven strategic recommendation on where Lean should scale its capacity next, where tighter controls are required, and which roles should be sourced next.
