RII is seeking a Senior Operations SME with deep Army Signal domain experience to support worldwide fielding of our Tactical NetOps solution. This role requires a highly experienced professional with a strong operational background in Army tactical networks, communications systems and signal operations across multiple echelons.

You will serve as the critical bridge between warfighter needs and engineering execution, ensuring our solutions are operationally relevant, field-ready, and mission-effective.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Travel extensively (up to 75%) to support fielding, training, and operational deployment at military installations
  • Provide hands-on support to Warfighters for system configuration, validation, customization, and training

  • Serve as the operational liaison between users and engineering teams to validate system performance and resolve issues

  • Capture user feedback, workflows, and mission needs to inform product development and enhancements

  • Support development and implementation of Tactical NetOps capabilities aligned with Army operational requirements

  • Translate operational concepts into technical requirements and actionable development inputs

  • Validate operational use cases and identify gaps in current system capabilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality briefings, reports, and training materials to stakeholders

  • Improve training documentation and operational guides when not deployed

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate complex operational insights clearly and effectively

  • Apply knowledge of Army staff structures and processes (e.g., Division/BCT level) to support systems engineering efforts


WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
  • 10 years, or more of experience in Army tactical signal operations, networking systems, and radio communications
  • Prior service as a Warrant Officer, Commissioned Officer, or NCO

  • Experience in 25, 26, or 255 series MOS / Signal Corps / related functional areas

  • Deep understanding of Army tactical networks and communications equipment at Division and below

  • Proven ability to operate in both technical and operational environments

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with military leadership and cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work independently in high-tempo, geographically dispersed environments

  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and presenting operational data and insights

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard productivity tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


EVEN BETTER
  • Experience serving in leadership or technical roles at DIV/BCT or G6/S6 level

  • Background in Army training development and instruction

  • Hands-on experience with systems such as: TRIK, SNN, MBK, TRILOS, SATCOM, MUOS, SILVUS, TSM radios, RF systems

  • Experience with tactical network planning and architecture design

  • Familiarity with Command Post infrastructure (TSI, TDI)

  • Experience with MDMP (Military Decision-Making Process)

  • Knowledge of network defense and cybersecurity planning in tactical environments

  • Exposure to systems engineering processes and requirements development
