Senior Operations Researcher

About the Role

CriminalRecordCheck.com is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Operations Researcher to join our Employment Screening team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing specialized and multi-step research assignments, including criminal monitoring products, sanctions reviews, escalated criminal hits, and in-house work products.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced remote environment, enjoys investigative research, and is committed to accuracy, confidentiality, and meeting deadlines.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct public records research through Federal, State, and County court systems
• Process criminal monitoring and sanctions-related work products
• Review and analyze vendor and court information for accuracy and compliance
• Contact courts via phone, email, or fax to obtain additional information
• Assist with escalations, review, and release activities as needed
• Maintain production and turnaround time expectations with a high level of accuracy
• Support and train Operations Research Team staff when necessary
• Ensure compliance with FCRA standards, state restrictions, and client requirements

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in background screening or a related field preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working remotely in a prior role
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Zoom, Teams, email, and other communication tools
• Must reside in North Carolina
• Must have a private home office with high-speed internet and ethernet access
