We are seeking an experienced Senior Node.js (TypeScript) Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team building a cloud-native platform for accounting and tax processes related to payments and transactions. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and traceable backend services while helping migrate the platform from on‑premises to AWS serverless architecture. The role involves hands‑on development, system integration, automated testing, performance tuning, and close collaboration with Product, QA, and Engineering to deliver production‑grade solutions for accounting and tax file generation.
This is you
5+ years of strong professional experience building backend applications with Node.js and TypeScript;
Hands‑on experience with core AWS services: Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and S3;
Proven experience designing and implementing serverless architectures and using the Serverless Framework;
Solid understanding of event‑driven architectures and integration patterns;
Practical experience writing automated tests with Jest and maintaining testable code;
Experience working in Agile teams and contributing to iterative delivery;
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for distributed systems;
Spanish - native; English: intermediate.
Nice-to-have skills:
Domain experience in financial services, accounting, taxation, or payment systems;
Prior experience migrating applications/services to cloud environments (on‑prem → AWS);
Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools and patterns in AWS (CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, etc.);
Experience building high‑availability, transaction‑intensive systems.
This is your role
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices and Lambda functions using Node.js / NestJS on a Serverless AWS infrastructure;
Implement serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and related services following cloud‑native best practices;
Develop and maintain integrations and processing workflows for accounting, taxation, and payment data;
Design and implement event‑driven flows using EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and other messaging patterns;
Model and operate data stores using DynamoDB and S3 for transactional and archival needs;
Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests (Jest) and support CI/CD pipelines;
Conduct and participate in code reviews, drive engineering best practices, and mentor junior engineers;
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, reliability, and security in production;
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA Automation, and other engineers to ensure solutions meet business, compliance, and traceability requirements.
