We are looking for an engineer with a strong expertise in network Quality Assurance to join our client's team and develop network QA pipelines and other solutions to be implemented in the client’s SD-WAN infrastructure.
What else you should know:
The team consists of less than 15 people, including an architect, project manager, backend developers, frontend developers, DevOps engineers.
We use SCRUM/Agile methodology.
Our tech stack for the project includes: SD-WAN, network testing tools, qemu/KVM, Linux, Python, Bash, Docker, K8s, Git, Puppet, PostgreSQL, Github Actions
The client is based in the US.
We work on multiple interesting projects at the time, so it may happen that we’ll invite you to the interview for another project, if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.
As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:
Developing network test scenarios
Developing pipelines and other solutions for network QA to automate tests
Troubleshooting network infrastructure issues
Creating documentation
Working in an agile methodology and collaborating with a team
Supporting teammates
Attending daily standups with the customer
As a Senior engineer you must meet the following criteria:
8+ years of experience
Advanced Python programming skills
Good understanding of network domain including concepts, technologies and protocols, e.g. SD-WAN, VLANs, firewalling, routing, NAT, etc.
Proven long-term expertise in network QA, including test methodologies and tools e.g., Spirent and Trex, as well as network QA pipeline development and end-to-end testing
Hands-on proficiency in Linux and Linux networking (with troubleshooting)
Practical experience with Linux-based virtualization, including QEMU, KVM
Solid understanding of git and CI/CD (Github Actions)
Good command of English (B2 level or above)
Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:
Familiarity with Yocto
Good understanding of various VPN solutions (OpenVPN, WireGuard, strongSwan)
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
