The Senior Injury Management Nurse is responsible for triaging employee injuries, assessing medical treatment needs, and coordinating return-to-work processes. They also provide education on workers' compensation and infection prevention while maintaining documentation within the nursing process.

Implements the nursing process within the Sanford injury management department and the continuum of care. The nursing process is utilized to assess, diagnose, establish a plan with outcome criteria, intervene, evaluate, and document human responses to actual or potential health problems. This practice includes dependent, interdependent and independent functions. Responsible to triage all employee injures to assess the need for initial and ongoing medical treatment and coordinate the return to work processes. Provides education to injured workers regarding workers compensation and trouble-shooting of questions and concerns relative to the prevention and control of transmission of infection. Travel is a requirement for this position. Travel may include team, training, third party administrator, claim reviews, broker and other meetings.Qualifications
