POSITION TITLE: Senior ILA / A&E Engineering Lead

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking Senior ILA / A&E Engineering Lead to own the technical solution from initial site evaluation through design and construction support. to support the growing demand for large-scale turnkey projects. This will serve as a key role in the development of ADB’s internal capabilities to support the growth of this line of business.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead ILA/A&E engineering from site candidate evaluation through IFC and construction support
• Partner with Site Acquisition to evaluate candidate sites for technical feasibility
• Establish ADB’s ILA basis of design, standard site configurations, design criteria, and drawing templates
• Develop site requirements including equipment/shelter layout, commercial power, backup generation, HVAC, grounding, access, security, utilities, and fiber entrance
• Coordinate ILA design with long-haul OSP/fiber engineering
• Lead and coordinate civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, architectural, survey, geotechnical, and environmental requirements
• Develop scopes and manage outside A&E firms and specialty engineers, including required PE-stamped deliverables
• Coordinate commercial power requirements and utility interfaces
• Lead multidisciplinary design reviews and ensure designs meet client, code, permitting, and constructability requirements
• Support permitting, construction RFIs, field changes, and final as-built documentation
• Provide technical leadership to internal BIM/CAD designers and engineering resources

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This role operates out of a temperature-controlled office environment
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, copiers, and cell phones

 EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• 8+ years of telecom/A&E, critical infrastructure, utility, or related engineering experience
• Direct experience with ILA/regeneration sites, telecom huts/shelters, POPs, central offices, data center connectivity, or similar telecom facilities
• Experience leading multidisciplinary A&E design packages
• Strong understanding of commercial power, generators/ATS, grounding/bonding, HVAC, civil/site development, foundations, and telecom equipment requirements
• Experience taking sites from design, permitting and to construction
• AutoCAD/Revit/BIM experience is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred
• PE preferred but not required if the candidate has strong telecom A&E leadership experience
• High School diploma or equivalent required
