Job description:

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Operations Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with a strong background in both general business operations and database management. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of our day-to-day activities while also providing key support for data-driven projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from optimizing workflows to performing data analysis using SQL.

 

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management:

  • Oversee and improve daily operational processes and workflows.

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless execution of business activities.

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain operational workflows to improve productivity and efficiency.

  • Monitor operational efficiency, including cost calculations, resource utilization, and process improvements.

  • Manage and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify trends and drive performance improvements.

  • Handle logistics, inventory management, and supply chain tasks as needed.

  • Act as a point of contact for operational inquiries, issue resolution, and problem-solving.

Data & Technical Support

  • Utilize SQL to query, manipulate, and analyze data from various back-end systems.

  • Generate reports, dashboards, and operational insights to support business decision-making.

  • Assist in maintaining data integrity, consistency, and accuracy within databases.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand system architecture, workflows, and data flow.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related and system-related issues efficiently.

General Support

  • Quickly grasp and adapt to new systems, software, and operational processes.

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the operations team and management.

  • Develop, update, and maintain procedural and process documentation.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying workflow gaps and recommending solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Operations Coordinator or in a similar operations-focused role.

  • Basic proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language) is a must-have. The ability to write basic queries, joins, and aggregations is essential.

  • Solid understanding of back-end systems and database structures. You should be comfortable with concepts like tables, schemas, and data relationships.

  • Experience in integrating operations tools e.g. Zendesk, Asana

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • A quick learner with the ability to understand complex processes and new technologies rapidly.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace.

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
