Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Technical Pillar) - Remote LATAM

About the Company

Orchid Software Solutions is a high-growth health-tech ecosystem. We build technology for the assisted reproduction industry, managing four specialized platforms:

• SeedTrust: The leading fintech/escrow platform for surrogacy.
• Veratru (IDRE): A gov-tech platform for medical dispute resolution.
• Gather Records: An AI-powered health-tech tool for sensitive medical records.
• Orchid CRM: Our core journey management system.

We are currently scaling from 50 to 100 people and tackling significant technical debt by migrating legacy systems (Node.js/Python) to a high-performance Go architecture.

The Role: Technical Pillar

We don’t hire "task finishers." We are looking for Technical Pillars. This means you are a senior engineer who enjoys being hands-on in the code but also takes full ownership of the architecture. You are expected to act as a strategic partner to the business, helping us define the "how" behind complex features in a fast-paced, sometimes messy startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Deliver: Build and own Next.js applications using modern patterns like App Router and Server Components.
• Backend Evolution: Lead the strategic migration from legacy Node.js/Python services to Go (Golang), focusing on high concurrency and performance.
• AI Integration: Design and implement production-grade AI features (LLMs/MCP) that solve real business problems, like automating user onboarding or medical record processing.
• Security & Compliance: Maintain the highest standards for PII and HIPAA-compliant data handling across fintech and healthcare products.
• Resilient Engineering: Navigate and refactor complex legacy codebases, moving from monolithic structures to scalable microservices.
• Leadership: Mentor peers and contribute to technical documentation (ADRs), raising the engineering bar for the entire team.

Qualifications

• Seniority: 7+ years of professional experience building production-scale web applications.
• US Startup Experience: Proven track record of working directly with US-based startups and stakeholders. Understanding the cultural and delivery standards of the US market is mandatory.
• Next.js Mastery: Deep experience with App Router, Server Components, and TypeScript.
• Backend & Cloud: Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript is required, and experience (or a strong desire to master) Go is critical for our roadmap.
• Testing: Strong belief in TDD and high-quality testing patterns.
• Communication: Exceptional English (C1+) with a direct, spontaneous, and transparent communication style.
• Ownership Mindset: You don't wait for a ticket to be perfect; you ask the right questions and drive the solution to completion.

Compensation: $20/hr - $35/hr
