AI Summary

Develop and maintain a high-traffic procurement platform, transitioning the stack from PHP/Laravel to a modern, AI-native Python architecture. Implement agentic engineering tools to ship production features and build scalable cloud-native APIs.

Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI/Agentic)

You're a strong full stack engineer who uses agentic tooling seriously in your day to day work. Not as a shortcut, but as a way to move faster and deliver better. You don't need someone to define every problem for you, but you're not looking to own the roadmap either. You want to do great engineering work on something that matters. If that's you, keep reading.

You'll be embedded into the product team of one of the UK's leading procurement platforms as your first project here. The platform connects organisations managing construction projects with the suppliers who deliver them. It's high-traffic, mid-transformation, and there's serious engineering work to be done at every layer of the stack.

The stack today is PHP/Laravel. That's where you'll start, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. The direction of travel is Python and a more modern, AI-native architecture. You'll be contributing to that transition as it happens.

To do this well, you'll need to be someone who:

  • Is comfortable working across PHP/Laravel and Python in commercial, production environments

  • Has strong experience at Senior Full Stack level

  • Has used agentic engineering tools to ship real features into production systems, not just personal projects

  • Knows AWS and has built scalable, cloud-native APIs before

  • Has enough front end range to work with React.js or Laravel Nova when needed

Here's what you get in return.

You'll be working on a real platform with real scale, alongside engineers who take the craft seriously. The work is varied, the stack is evolving and you'll have the seniority to contribute to how things are done, not just what gets shipped.

Agentic engineering is genuinely central to how this project works, not a buzzword on a job advert. You'll be using these tools in production every day, which means the experience you build here is current, practical and transferable.

Working here means exposure to multiple clients and contexts over time. If you want to keep growing as an engineer rather than going deep on one product forever, that variety matters.

Beyond the work itself, here's what benefits come with the role.

  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

  • 5 Impact Days for learning, innovation or volunteering

  • Flexible working environment

  • Enhanced parental leave

  • Annual wellbeing budget plus 2 wellbeing days

  • Mental health support

  • Company Mac

Location

You can work from home, in the office or a mix of both. We just ask that you're based within 30 miles of one of our offices:

  • Edinburgh

  • Newcastle

  • Leeds

  • Manchester

  • London

Sound like you?

Apply below and we'll set up a call to find out whether we're a good fit for each other. We'll want to hear about a time you've used agentic tooling to solve a real problem in a production environment. Not the tools you use, the problem you solved and what you had to put in place to make it work safely.
