Are you a Fortinet expert who enjoys designing, implementing, and optimizing secure network environments? We're looking for a Senior Fortinet Network Security Engineer to lead high-impact projects for clients ranging from mid-sized businesses to enterprise organizations.

In this role, you'll work directly with customers to design and deploy advanced Fortinet solutions, lead complex migrations, and serve as a trusted technical expert throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a remote position, with preference given to candidates located in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Massachusetts, or Ohio.

What You'll Do

• Design, deploy, and support advanced Fortinet security solutions.
• Lead customer engagements from discovery and design through implementation and documentation.
• Implement and support FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP environments.
• Design and configure Secure SD-WAN, ADVPN, BGP, OSPF, IPsec VPN, and remote access solutions.
• Perform firewall migrations from Palo Alto, Cisco, SonicWall, Check Point, and other platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex networking, security, wireless, and authentication issues.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, architects, and technology partners to deliver successful outcomes.
• Mentor fellow engineers and serve as a technical escalation resource.
• Help maintain and strengthen our Fortinet partnership through continued certification and technical excellence.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of network security, firewall, or infrastructure engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Fortinet design and implementation experience.
• Advanced knowledge of FortiGate/FortiOS.
• Experience with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, high availability, and network segmentation.
• Expertise with VPN technologies, SD-WAN, dynamic routing, and multi-site environments.
• Proven ability to lead customer-facing technical projects and solve complex challenges independently.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.

Certifications

Required

• Active Fortinet NSE 4 certification

Preferred

• NSE 7 certification
• NSE 8 certification
• Additional Fortinet certifications in Security Operations, SASE, Cloud, or Infrastructure

Bonus Experience

• MSP, consulting, systems integrator, or VAR environments
• Enterprise-scale network security deployments
• FortiSASE, FortiNAC, FortiAuthenticator, FortiClient EMS, FortiWeb, or FortiSIEM
• Azure or AWS network security
• Technical leadership and engineer mentoring

Compensation: starting from $120,000 base + quarterly bonus opportunity
