The Senior Financial Planning Analyst plays a key role in driving budgeting, planning, forecasting, and financial analysis across the organization. This role partners closely with managers and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial insights, maintain compliance standards, and support strategic decision-making. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Coordinate, prepare, and manage all aspects of budgeting and planning, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
- Prepare re-forecasted financial plans on a monthly basis or as directed by management, and conduct in-depth monthly variance analysis
- Partner with managers to review financial results, update forecasts, and translate data into meaningful business insights
- Draft, update, and maintain budget and planning policies and procedures to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
- Develop and deliver training on budgeting software and processes to relevant personnel across the organization
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements with appropriate footnotes and support ad-hoc financial analysis and due diligence for acquisitions or mergers as needed
Role Essentials
You'll need to have these to be considered for the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
- 5–8 years of experience in public accounting or corporate financial planning and analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and confidently to diverse audiences

What We'd Like to See

- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance processes and documentation
- Demonstrated experience supporting M&A due diligence or other complex financial projects
- Familiarity with enterprise financial planning platforms and data visualization tools
- Proven ability to define and report on business performance metrics that support leadership decisions
- Strong collaborative skills with experience providing guidance and mentorship to team members
