Senior Federal Market Strategist
Location: Remote, United States
Job Summary:
Thunder Consulting is a Salesforce Summit Partner helping government agencies and mission-driven organizations modernize service delivery through the Salesforce and AWS platforms. We are looking for a Senior Federal Market Strategist to serve as a force multiplier for our Federal Growth Lead — bringing strategic rigor, market instinct, and operational excellence to how we grow in the federal space. This is a high-visibility role that spans ecosystem relationships, opportunity capture, and go-to-market execution. It is ideal for a seasoned professional who can operate at the intersection of strategy and delivery, and who brings the executive presence to represent us credibly with both external partners and federal customers.
Responsibilities:
- Build and sustain senior-level relationships with Salesforce and Amazon AEs and RVPs. Represent our brand, surface shared opportunities, and establish us as a preferred collaborator in the federal ecosystem.
- Lead end-to-end RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses with a focus on compelling, differentiated narratives.
- Own coordination across internal stakeholders and ensure submissions are on time and competitive.
- Shape the development of federal market offerings and drive key corporate initiatives.
- Translate market signals and customer insight into actionable positioning and go-to-market recommendations.
- Engage directly with federal agency stakeholders to understand mission priorities, build relationships, and identify where we can deliver meaningful impact. Bring insight back to inform strategy.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required; must be active or eligible for Public Trust or higher clearance.
- 7+ years in federal markets (BD, strategy, or consulting), with at least 5+ years designing Salesforce solutions.
- Deep knowledge of federal procurement, contracting vehicles, and public sector Agile delivery models.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to articulate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience driving go-to-market strategy or corporate initiatives in a federal context.
- Proven ability to build and manage senior relationships with technology ecosystem partners, in order to lead technical strategy for RFI/RFP responses, including compliance mapping and solution narrative development.
- Existing relationships within Salesforce or AWS federal teams are a plus!
- Deep familiarity with SaaS, cloud-based, or data solutions (such as Salesforce or AWS) within a government context, including experience with federal civilian, DoD, or IC agency customers preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
U.S. citizens are encouraged to apply.
