If you’re excited by high growth, real ownership, and building something that matters, Traild is the place to do the most impactful work of your career.
The Role:
As a Senior Engineering Manager for our Integrations team, you will lead multiple engineering squads, managing and developing other Engineering Managers and taking full accountability for the performance, delivery, and growth of one of the most business-critical areas of Traild.
High-quality integrations with the world's major ERP platforms are central to Traild's success and a key product differentiator, underpinned by strong partnerships with ERP providers themselves. You will own delivery and growth outcomes across a globally distributed team with engineers in Australia, South Africa, SE Asia and North America, spanning technically challenging problems across APIs, data, and distributed systems.
This role suits an experienced engineering leader who has managed other managers, led multiple squads, and is equally strong across technical leadership and the people, communication, and stakeholder skills needed to scale a distributed, partnership-driven team.
What Leadership Looks Like Here
As a member of the engineering leadership team, you will be expected to own and actively drive technical direction, architecture quality, and engineering standards across your group. You will set and maintain a clear roadmap and a technical vision connecting every initiative to customer and business outcomes and own key engineering metrics.
You will build the systems and playbooks that make high performance repeatable, from incident response to onboarding, and lead with an AI-first mindset, continuously raising the bar on how your teams use AI to improve speed and quality. Your first team is your fellow engineering leaders, and you will be expected to contribute to the strength of that group, project a unified front, and help build the leadership culture that scales Traild.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the technical direction, architecture quality, and engineering standards across your group, setting the bar actively rather than reactively.
Define and maintain a roadmap that connects engineering work to clear customer and business outcomes, with visibility across the full team.
Build and maintain the systems, playbooks, and feedback loops that make your teams fast, reliable, and self-sufficient.
Lead, coach, and develop Engineering Managers and individual contributors, with a focus on equitable growth, stretch opportunities, and high performance.
Own your team's key delivery metrics including cycle time, deployment frequency, and incident rate, and drive continuous improvement against them.
Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to scope, resource, and deliver outcomes across a globally distributed team.
Hire talented engineers who share our values and set them up for success from day one.
Who You Are:
An experienced engineering leader who has managed managers and owned outcomes across multiple squads in a fast-moving product environment.
Strong technical foundation in backend and distributed systems, with the ability to set direction and make trade-offs visible, not just validate what engineers propose.
A clear and confident communicator who can align stakeholders, break down complexity, and hold a consistent position across product, engineering, and the business.
A coach and mentor who understands how people grow, invests in emerging talent, and addresses underperformance directly and with care.
Someone who leads with an AI-first mindset and brings genuine curiosity about how to use new tools to raise the quality and speed of engineering work.
A team-first leader who contributes to a high-trust, inclusive culture.
