Project Overview
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer to join the development and maintenance of a commercial smart appliance platform used in professional high-speed ovens for restaurants, cafés, fast-food chains, and other food service environments.
The solution combines Embedded Linux, BSP, hardware integration, and Qt-based user interface development to support device configuration, diagnostics, cooking programs, and day-to-day appliance operation.
The engineer will work across multiple software layers, from BSP and Embedded Linux platform support to application and UI development, contributing to new features, product enhancements, and overall system reliability. The role involves close collaboration with hardware, product, and software engineering teams and requires a solid understanding of embedded systems, hardware-software interaction, and device operation workflows.
Technical Requirements
Must Have
8+ years of experience in Embedded Linux development
Strong proficiency in C++
Hands-on experience with BSP (Board Support Package) development, customization, and maintenance
Experience working directly with hardware and system integration
Strong experience with Yocto and Linux build systems
Experience developing applications using Qt
Experience working with SQLite or similar embedded databases
Good understanding of Linux system architecture
Experience in debugging software, BSP, and hardware-related issues
Experience working across both system-level and application-level software
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Nice to Have
Experience with communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, and USB
Experience with networking protocols and connectivity features
Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain software for Embedded Linux platforms using C++
Develop, customize, and support BSP layers, platform integrations, and Yocto-based build environments
Design, develop, and maintain Qt-based applications for embedded devices
Integrate application-level software with Linux services, BSP components, hardware interfaces, and SQLite-based data storage
Work closely with hardware teams on system integration, testing, and validation activities
Debug and resolve software, BSP, UI, database, and hardware-related issues, performing root cause analysis across the Linux stack
Support new device features, platform enhancements, and system-level improvements
Contribute to system stability, performance optimization, and overall product reliability
