About the Role
We’re looking for a talented and experienced Senior Editor to help shape and deliver high-quality editorial content across Letterboxd Journal.
Working closely with the Head of Editorial, you’ll play a key role in developing stories, creating compelling content, and supporting contributors, ensuring everything we publish reflects our distinctive voice and high editorial standards.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about storytelling and film culture, and who thrives in a creative, fast-moving environment where quality and craft matter.
What You Will Do
- Write and produce engaging editorial content, including Journal features, news stories and newsletters.
- Edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency and alignment with Letterboxd's editorial standards.
- Research, interview and develop stories featuring filmmakers, artists and other industry voices.
- Generate story ideas and contribute to the development of Journal's editorial output and content pipeline.
- Support the Head of Editorial in commissioning content, reviewing pitches and identifying opportunities for coverage.
- Work closely with freelance contributors, providing feedback and guiding content through to publication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contributors and other creative partners.
- Support the delivery of editorial partnerships, collaborations and special projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams on cross-functional editorial initiatives and storytelling opportunities.
- Champion Journal's editorial standards, ensuring content reflects Letterboxd's voice, values and commitment to quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve editorial processes, contributor experience and ways of working.
About You
You’re an experienced creative editor with a strong eye for story and detail. You bring excellent writing and editing capability, paired with sound editorial judgement and a deep appreciation for quality content.

- Experience in editorial, publishing, journalism or content creation.
