Senior Drupal Developer - short time contract - remote from EU

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Freelance Drupal Developer for a temporary replacement contract of 70 days. In this role, you will take full ownership of advanced front-end and back-end development, handling intricate custom modules, fine-tuning complex site configurations, and ensuring seamless third-party integrations. As a senior engineer, you must be able to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Write, review, and implement highly complex custom Drupal modules and hooks.

Build and maintain high-performance, responsive Drupal themes using Twig, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Configure and optimize Drupal core, contributed modules, complex views, taxonomy, and content types.

Diagnose deep technical bugs, execute secure core/module updates, and optimize website performance during the coverage period.

Deliver clean, secure, and well-documented code that strictly follows Drupal coding best practices.

SKILLS AND TECHNOLOGIES:

Experience: 13+ years of professional web development experience, with an extensive and proven track record in Drupal 9 / 10.

Expert-level knowledge of PHP, OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), and MySQL/MariaDB database management.

Strong command of HTML5, CSS3/SASS, modern JavaScript, and Twig templating engines.

Deep familiarity with professional Git workflows, Composer dependency management, and Drush.

Availability: Ready to start immediately or on short notice to cover the full 70-day window.
