The Senior Director, Marketing provides leadership for Zimmer Biomet’s connected health portfolio, overseeing upstream and downstream product management teams responsible for mymobility, ZBEdge, ZBEdge Analytics, 1Team, and Medstrat. Leads portfolio strategy, brand architecture, product positioning, go-to-market execution, and software ecosystem strategy across connected health and digital care solutions. Builds high-performing marketing and product management teams that translate market insights, customer needs, and business priorities into differentiated portfolio strategies, compelling value propositions, and sustained commercial growth.
How You'll Create Impact
Owns marketing strategy and leadership across Zimmer Biomet’s connected health portfolio, including mymobility, ZBEdge, ZBEdge Analytics, 1Team, and Medstrat.
Leads and develops upstream and downstream product management teams responsible for portfolio strategy, product positioning, launch execution, and commercial growth.
Defines and evolves brand architecture across the connected health and robotics portfolio, ensuring clear, cohesive, and differentiated positioning for each product within the broader Zimmer Biomet ecosystem.
Develops and drives software ecosystem strategy that aligns connected health and robotics offerings into a unified, compelling platform narrative for surgeons, care teams, administrators, and health systems.
Partners with Commercial, Clinical, Engineering, Digital, Quality, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and executive leadership to shape portfolio priorities and go-to-market plans.
Leads upstream activities including market assessment, customer discovery, competitive analysis, segmentation, and product roadmap definition to identify growth opportunities and inform investment decisions.
Drives downstream execution including launch readiness, sales enablement, messaging, promotional strategy, customer engagement, and adoption programs.
Ensures marketing and product management activities support compliant commercialization in partnership with Regulatory, Legal, Privacy, and Quality stakeholders.
Establishes portfolio governance, marketing operating models, and team development practices that improve execution, cross-functional alignment, and organizational capability.
Monitors portfolio performance, market dynamics, customer adoption trends, and competitive activity to inform strategy refinement and resource prioritization.
Serves as a key strategic partner to senior leadership on connected health growth opportunities, portfolio direction, brand positioning, and market expansion.
Helps position Zimmer Biomet as a leader in connected musculoskeletal care through strong brand clarity, ecosystem thinking, and disciplined commercial execution.
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience in medical devices, orthopedics, musculoskeletal health, or closely related MedTech sectors
Experience with software as a medical device (SaMD), digital health, connected care, or healthcare technology products
Strong expertise in brand architecture, portfolio branding, and software ecosystem strategy
Proven leadership of upstream and downstream product management or marketing teams
Strong understanding of market development, product positioning, competitive strategy, launch execution, and commercial growth planning
Experience translating complex technology and software portfolios into clear, compelling value propositions for clinical, administrative, and executive audiences
Experience partnering across Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Commercial, and executive stakeholders in a matrixed environment
Strong ability to communicate portfolio strategy, brand positioning, and investment priorities to executive and cross-functional audiences
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree and 11 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 13 years of relevant experience is required
Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of experience in marketing, product management, portfolio strategy, or commercial leadership in medical devices, digital health, or healthcare technology, with 7+ years in people leadership roles overseeing multiple teams is preferred
