We are seeking a Senior Director, Agentic AI and Clinical Trial Platforms to lead a multidisciplinary organization spanning agentic AI, generative AI, and eCOA AI. In this highly visible leadership role, you will translate AI strategy into scalable production systems, develop exceptional teams, and drive the adoption of AI platforms that improve clinical trial efficiency, data quality, and patient outcomes globally. What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead a multidisciplinary organization of AI engineers, data scientists, software engineers, and platform engineers delivering AI solutions for internal operations and clinical trial applications.

  • Own the delivery, governance, adoption, and evolution of AgentOS as a reusable enterprise platform for agentic capabilities across products, services, data assets, and enterprise systems.

  • Drive the architecture, development, and deployment of AI agent platforms that enable reusable agents, orchestration, intelligent automation, and human-in-the-loop workflows.

  • Oversee the development of multimodal AI services leveraging clinical outcomes, text, audio, sensor, and other trial-related data sources.

  • Create clarity, accountability, and growth opportunities across technical teams while fostering engagement, collaboration, and technical excellence.

  • Partner with product, clinical, regulatory, commercial, and technology stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities and convert them into production-ready solutions.

  • Define and measure business outcomes associated with agentic AI adoption, including operational efficiency, quality improvements, customer impact, and product differentiation.

  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based AI and machine learning services, preferably leveraging AWS SageMaker and related AWS AI/ML technologies.

  • Establish best practices for AI platform engineering, agent evaluation, MLOps, LLMOps, observability, governance, monitoring, validation, security, and responsible AI.

  • Ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with clinical trial quality standards and regulatory expectations.

  • Serve as a key technical and delivery partner to executive leadership, helping execute Clario's AI operating model, technology roadmap, and clinical trial transformation initiatives.

  • Mentor leaders and individual contributors while building a culture focused on innovation, execution, learning, and continuous improvement.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Extensive experience leading AI, machine learning, data science, advanced analytics, or software engineering organizations in technology-driven environments.

  • Demonstrated success developing leaders, managing high-performing teams, and creating accountability within complex technical organizations.

  • Deep hands-on experience designing, building, deploying, and operating cloud-based AI/ML platforms, preferably within AWS environments.

  • Strong expertise with AWS SageMaker and related cloud-native services supporting model development, deployment, monitoring, and automation.

  • Experience designing and deploying generative AI and agentic systems, including large language models, retrieval architectures, orchestration frameworks, tool integration, observability, and evaluation methodologies.

  • Proven track record delivering reusable AI platforms from architecture through governed enterprise adoption, including build-versus-buy decision making.

  • Experience developing multimodal AI solutions using both structured and unstructured data sources.

  • Strong software engineering and platform architecture expertise, including APIs, scalable distributed systems, DevOps, MLOps, security, and enterprise cloud platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale technical initiatives from concept through production deployment with a focus on execution and measurable outcomes.

  • Ability to translate clinical, customer, product, and business requirements into actionable roadmaps and successful delivery plans.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to align executive leaders, technical teams, and cross-functional partners.

  • Experience in life sciences, clinical trials, regulated healthcare technology, or other highly regulated industries preferred.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, validation practices, privacy standards, and security controls related to AI-enabled solutions preferred.
