Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer who is passionate about CI/CD automation, security automation, security best practices, zero-downtime deployment, and observable cloud infrastructure. You will interact with stakeholders across Engineering, QA, DevOps, Operations, and Product Management. Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Design and implement resilient, scalable, and observable processes and infrastructure used across client implementations of the software

● Secure networks, applications, and data

● Provide production monitoring and support for client systems

● Design, deploy, and maintain Elastic-based logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions

● Design and implement automation tools for testing, monitoring, and reporting

● Design and implement integrations within CI/CD pipelines

● Build security controls into Engineering and DevOps pipelines (e.g., build automation and configuration management)

● Participate in code and design reviews

● Understand and advocate for the OWASP Top 10, industry best practices, and secure coding principles

● Work with clients on infrastructure and scaling requirements

● Review and assess client deployments for potential security, scaling, and reliability issues

● Routinely conduct, review, and resolve findings from penetration and vulnerability assessments

● Review the security posture of new product integrations

● Assist with company compliance objectives

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems, or related field

● 3+ years of related DevOps, infrastructure, and security experience

● Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs, Private Link), security (Entra ID, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud), Kubernetes (AKS), managed databases, and monitoring/observability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)

● Hands-on experience with at least one additional cloud platform (AWS or GCP) strongly preferred

● Expert in Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform (and similar technologies)

● Experience with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash/Beats/Elastic Agent), including cluster deployment, scaling, tuning, and using Elastic for logging, monitoring, and observability

● Experience with REST-style web services and APIs

● Experience with API security and best practices

● Experience with mobile device and application security

● Experience designing networks and subnets (VNets/VPCs) for security, monitoring, and prevention

● Experience with CI/CD automation tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline

NICE TO HAVE:

● Relevant certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Azure Administrator (AZ-104), AWS, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Terraform, or Elastic

● Understanding of compliance programs such as SOC 2 and PCI DSS

● Experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning, including query and index analysis and index creation

● Experience tuning Kubernetes pod resource requests and limits based on observed metrics
