The Senior Desktop Engineer provides Tier 3 support for end-user hardware and software, including patching and configuration management. They also coordinate with local stakeholders and vendors to ensure effective support services across EPA locations.
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Desktop Engineer. This position will be a fully remote position.
Responsibilities- Provides Tier 3 support for other EPA teams on end-user HW (desktops, laptops, mobile devices), along with deskside and dispatch support services at required EPA locations to augment deskside support teams as needed
- Manages and deploys specialized SW and/or configurations for EPA end-users
- Assists Enterprise Engineers with patching and updating EPA-approved applications
- Coordinates with Tier 4 vendors as needed
- Coordinates with local stakeholders to customize activities at the local level
Qualifications- Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years desktop engineering experience (or commensurate experience)
- Tools experience required SCCM/MECM
- Experience managing customer requests and expectations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Clearance Required: Ability to maintain a public trust clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with BeyondTrust Endpoint Privilege Manager is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager preferred
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Experience with BeyondTrust EPM
- Exepreince with Microsoft Defender
- Project management experience a plus
