Michael & Associates is one of the fastest-growing criminal defense law firms in the United States, transforming how legal services are delivered through technology, innovation, and operational excellence.
We're revolutionizing the legal industry—and data, automation, and AI are at the heart of that transformation. While many competitors still rely on fax machines, spreadsheets, and manual processes, we're building a modern, technology-driven organization powered by data warehouses, intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
We're looking for a Senior Data Solutions Architect to work closely with our Head of Data & AI to design, build, scale, and maintain the systems that power our continued growth.
This is not a traditional reporting role. You will be responsible for developing end-to-end solutions to complex business problems by combining data engineering, analytics, automation, systems integration, and AI.
A major part of this role will involve identifying inefficient processes and redesigning them from the ground up. Using Python, APIs, automation platforms, modern data infrastructure, and AI, you will reduce manual work, improve accuracy, accelerate decision-making, and enable teams to accomplish things that were previously impossible.
We are especially interested in candidates who have designed and deployed AI solutions in real business environments. We are not looking for someone who has only experimented with prompts or casually used AI tools. We want someone who understands how to architect, integrate, evaluate, monitor, and continuously improve AI-powered systems operating in production.
This role requires a high degree of ownership, independence, and accountability. We move quickly, our challenges are often complex, and we expect the person in this role to take full responsibility for delivering meaningful results.
To be clear, this is not a conventional 9-to-5 position. We care more about delivering results than watching the clock. There will be demanding projects, urgent business needs, and situations where additional effort is required. The role offers strong compensation, significant autonomy, and the opportunity to build high-impact systems—but it is best suited for someone who is highly driven, dependable, and willing to do what it takes to succeed.
You will partner directly with our Head of Data & AI and leaders across the company. The solutions you build will influence operational, financial, marketing, sales, and strategic decisions. You'll be expected to understand the business context behind every project, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will design and develop end-to-end data and technology solutions, including data ingestion, pipelines, warehouses, semantic layers, dashboards, automations, integrations, and AI-powered applications. Rather than working on isolated components, you'll help define the problem, design the architecture, build the solution, validate the results, deploy it, and continuously improve it over time.
You will identify and develop AI use cases that go beyond simple productivity improvements. Our goal isn't just to make existing work faster—it's to create entirely new capabilities for the business. You'll help teams analyze information at a scale they couldn't previously manage, automate complex decisions, improve client interactions, uncover insights from unstructured data, and solve problems that were once considered too difficult or time-consuming.
You'll work closely with business teams to understand existing workflows, identify bottlenecks and unnecessary manual work, and redesign processes to make them faster, more accurate, more scalable, and easier to manage. Automation is not a side responsibility in this role—it is a core part of how you'll improve business operations.
We're growing rapidly, which means the systems that work today may not be sufficient six months from now. You'll continually integrate new data sources, improve infrastructure, solve emerging business challenges, optimize performance, and design systems capable of supporting long-term growth.
Once you are provided with the context and objectives of a project, you will be expected to take full ownership of delivering the complete solution from start to finish. This includes:
You will not simply complete assigned tickets or follow predefined instructions. You will be expected to think critically, identify opportunities for improvement, make sound technical decisions, and drive projects through successful delivery.
We offer flexibility, trust, strong compensation, and significant autonomy. In return, we expect commitment, responsiveness, high-quality execution, and a willingness to do what it takes to deliver outstanding results.
This role is designed for someone who wants responsibility, autonomy, and meaningful impact.
