Responsibilities.

• Technically lead the evolution of Unifique’s data platform.
• Define architectural standards for data ingestion, transformation, cataloging, and consumption.
• Design scalable solutions using Airflow, Spark, Kubernetes, and ClickHouse.
• Lead the implementation of the future data catalog and governance strategy.
• Act as a technical reference for other Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers.
• Support the adoption of AI agents to automate data engineering activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, reliability, and operational costs.
• Collaborate with DevOps and AI Engineering teams to evolve data infrastructure.
• Participate in decisions related to Self-Service Analytics and Data Products architecture.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent certification
• Advanced experience with Apache Spark.
• Advanced experience with Apache Airflow.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling, Data Warehousing, and analytical architecture.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience designing scalable data architectures.
• Experience with data pipeline observability, monitoring, and reliability practices.
• Experience working in complex and cross-functional corporate environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
• Strong SQL performance optimization skills and experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of multiple database technologies, including distributed processing, NoSQL, and MPP systems.
• Experience working in technology startups, with a flexible and adaptable mindset.
