This role combines architectural leadership with hands-on expertise in streaming, event-driven systems, vector databases, RAG, and cloud platforms. Working with engineering, creative, and executive stakeholders, the architect will establish governance, design integration patterns, and enable autonomous AI agents through reliable, low-latency data access, contextual retrieval, and stateful memory at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Design and scale enterprise data architectures connecting cloud data lakes and warehouses to low-latency AI agent backends.

  • Transform existing data assets into real-time context providers, vector retrieval engines, and stateful memory systems.

  • Architect streaming ingestion, event-driven microservices, and retrieval pipelines, including RAG and vector stores.

  • Define data governance, architectural standards, schemas, and integration patterns.

  • Collaborate with ML engineers, creative leads, and executive stakeholders to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions.

  • Drive adoption of AI-powered development tools, agentic engineering practices, and automated architectures.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 5+ years in Data Architecture or Senior Data Engineering, designing complex, scalable platforms from scratch.

  • Hands-on experience activating existing data stores for live, interactive applications, beyond migrations and data movement.

  • Expertise in real-time, event-driven AI backends, RAG, and vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Milvus, or pgvector.

  • Extensive experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and modern lakehouse architectures using platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery.

  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, system design, and API design using gRPC, GraphQL, or REST for ML integration.

  • Ability to communicate architectural concepts clearly to technical teams and creative, nontechnical stakeholders.
