Senior Data Analyst

This is a contractor position within X-Team. As a Data Analyst, you will join a lean, high-trust Data and Engineering team to take full ownership of our BI and reporting estate. You will own and evolve production Tableau dashboards and Snowflake-backed data sources that marketing, enrollment, and leadership teams run on daily. Rather than just pulling static reports, you will chase down data discrepancies to their root cause, build self-service dashboards, and leverage AI tooling (like Claude Code) to build, test, and validate data logic faster—all while translating complex insights into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders

Most Important

• Tableau Production Depth: Extensive, hands-on experience building, publishing, maintaining, and evolving production Tableau dashboards and published data sources used by leadership teams.
• Advanced SQL & Snowflake: Confident writing, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL queries against data warehouses (Snowflake experience strongly preferred), including rigorous data validation and sanity-checking logic.
• Data Discrepancy Investigation: Proven ability to independently chase data mismatches down to the source—reconciling numbers across CRM, marketing, and warehouse systems—and applying definitive fixes.
• AI Tooling & Velocity: Active, practical experience using AI-assisted development tools (specifically Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Cursor) to write SQL, generate test assertions, validate report logic, and speed up delivery while applying strict manual verification protocols.
• Funnel & Marketing Analytics: Track record of performing exploratory analysis on marketing attribution and enrollment funnel activity to highlight conversion bottlenecks and prospect engagement opportunities.
• Stakeholder Enablement: Ability to translate complex data nuances into plain-English summaries for non-technical stakeholders and convert recurring custom data requests into intuitive self-service dashboards.
• Location & Overlap: Remote-first with strong daily availability during U.S. Central Time (CT) business hours.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse architecture (facts, dimensions, SCDs).
• Marketing and attribution domain experience (Google Analytics, CRM data, ad platforms, multi-touch attribution models).
• Familiarity with higher-education or enrollment funnel metrics.
• Comfort with Git-based version control workflows and PR peer-review processes.
