Senior Consumer Engagement Strategist
*This is a full-time position and not open to contract work.*
Company Overview
b.well Connected Health is a digital health platform built to unify fragmented health data and drive
meaningful engagement between people and their health. We're a mission-driven, fast-moving
startup committed to delivering personalized health experiences at scale — for our users, our clients,
and the healthcare system at large.
We're looking for a Senior Consumer Engagement Strategist who is as comfortable in the weeds of
campaign configuration as they are presenting strategy to a client executive. If you thrive in
environments where you own the outcome end-to-end, this role is for you.
Position Overview
As a Senior Consumer Engagement Strategist, you will own the development, execution, and ongoing
optimization of consumer engagement programs across multiple client implementations
simultaneously. You'll drive lifecycle marketing strategy while also doing the hands-on technical work
— building campaigns, configuring data pipelines, and ensuring every touchpoint is optimized to
drive action and deliver value for end users, b.well, and our clients.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You'll bring a clear point of view on what
great engagement looks like, translate that into buildable plans, and see them through to delivery —
all while serving as a trusted resource for internal teams and client stakeholders alike.
You will inherit and immediately own active client implementations from day one. This role operates
in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and you'll be expected to drive clarity rather than
wait for it.
What You'll Do
Strategy & Lifecycle Marketing:
- Lead the development and execution of user lifecycle marketing strategies across product and digital channels, grounded in clinical, demographic, and behavioral data
- Drive strategic ideation for engagement programs, bringing a clear point of view and translating concepts into executable, measurable plans
- Build and manage proactive testing roadmaps to continuously improve the user journey and maximize engagement across all touchpoints
- Ensure full and sophisticated utilization of our marketing automation platform — including journeys, segmentation, triggered campaigns, and automation — to deliver personalized experiences at scale
Technical Configuration & Execution:
- Own campaign builds end-to-end: data feed setup, segmentation logic, template configuration, QA, and deployment across in-app, email, push, and SMS channels
- Partner with engineering and data teams to define data requirements and build the pipelines needed to power personalized, real-time campaigns
- Execute multi-channel strategies using blast, triggered, and journey-based campaigns
- Maintain and scale campaign infrastructure across multiple concurrent client implementations
Performance & Optimization:
- Define OKRs and KPIs for all engagement programs; own the reporting cadence to internal and client stakeholders, including performance dashboards, test result summaries, and optimization recommendations
- Design and execute A/B and multivariate tests; communicate results clearly and translate findings into action
- Stay current on industry best practices, emerging engagement strategies, and regulatory changes — and bring that knowledge back to the team proactively
Stakeholder Communication & Client Engagement:
- Serve as a clear, proactive communicator across technical and non-technical audiences — translating campaign performance and strategy into actionable insights for both internal teams and external clients
- Represent b.well's engagement capabilities confidently in client-facing settings, including executive-level conversations
- Coordinate cross-functionally across product, engineering, data, and client success to drive alignment and outcomes
What You Bring
Required:
- 6+ years of experience developing and executing digital engagement strategies, preferably within healthcare or digital health
- Hands-on proficiency with marketing automation platforms, including journeys, data feeds, segmentation, template builds, and campaign QA — this is a core tool for the role, not a nice to-have
- Demonstrated ability to work at both the strategic level (program design, stakeholder communication, roadmap planning) and the tactical level (hands-on builds, data configuration, performance analysis)
- Experience managing and executing across multiple digital channels simultaneously — email, push notifications, SMS, and in-app messaging
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, TCPA, FCC, and CAN-SPAM compliance requirements as they apply to consumer engagement in healthcare
- Strong analytical skills with experience defining, tracking, and reporting on performance metrics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to client executives and cross-functional leadership
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments — you drive clarity, you don't wait for it
Preferred:
- Experience working across multiple concurrent client implementations in a B2B2C model
- Background in a startup or high-growth environment
- Familiarity with data pipeline concepts and working directly with engineering and data teams on campaign infrastructure
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $130,000–$170,000, and is part of a competitive total
rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay
is determined by experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business
considerations. We review all compensation programs annually to ensure they remain competitive
