About the role and what you will be doing:

As a Senior .NET Consultant at Ensono Digital, you will play a key delivery and technical leadership role within your project, operating as a trusted senior engineer who supports high-quality outcomes while helping the team and client realise the business value of their cloud investment. You will typically support a Tech Lead or Lead Consultant, taking ownership of significant technical areas or sub-systems within a larger solution. Working across the full project lifecycle, you will collaborate closely with Ensono Digital colleagues and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear technical designs and deliver modern, cloud-native solutions using contemporary engineering practices. Beyond project delivery, you will contribute to Ensono Digital communities, share knowledge, and continuously develop your skills and career as a senior consultant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect components and sub-systems within larger, complex solutions

• Write high-quality, testable .NET code and contribute to the delivery of cloud-native solutions

• Work across the full project lifecycle in close collaboration with internal teams and client stakeholders

• Translate business requirements into well-defined technical designs and sub-system architectures

• Contribute to discovery, planning, design reviews, and architectural decision-making

• Work in a spec-driven way, refining specifications, acceptance criteria, and architectural decisions to reduce ambiguity before and during implementation

• Make effective and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and learning, while remaining accountable for outputs produced

• Act as a senior role model within the team, resolving technical challenges and informally coaching and mentoring junior engineers

• Maintain strong engineering standards, clear documentation, and a positive, collaborative team environment 

• Contribute to Ensono Digital communities and core competency groups through knowledge sharing and continuous learning

Requirements:

• Proven experience developing high-quality solutions using .NET (Core / modern .NET)

• Experience building and operating systems on cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS

• Strong understanding of microservice and distributed architectures, including their benefits and trade-offs

• Ability to translate business requirements into well-defined designs and sub-system architectures

• Experience writing integration and end-to-end tests, using approaches such as BDD where appropriate

• Accountability for code quality, security, and engineering standards throughout delivery

• Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain solution purpose and design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Proven ability to resolve technical challenges confidently within complex delivery environments and take responsibility for outcomes within scope

• Ability to contribute constructively to architectural discussions, discovery activities, and design reviews

• Comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools, applying professional judgment and remaining accountable for results

• Collaborative mindset with a genuine commitment to knowledge sharing and supporting the growth of others

• Professional, proactive approach with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes for clients
