The Business Process Engineer will analyze, design, and improve enterprise healthcare processes and application systems to support transformation initiatives. They will facilitate stakeholder sessions, document workflows, and develop implementation plans to ensure operational efficiency and system readiness.
OxfordGC is seeking an experienced Business Process Engineer to support healthcare transformation and information technology initiatives for healthcare agencies. The Business Process Engineer will analyze, design, improve, and support the implementation of enterprise healthcare processes and application systems. The successful candidate will work with healthcare operational personnel, clinical stakeholders, technical teams, program leadership, and end users to evaluate current processes, identify gaps, design future-state workflows, and support the implementation and sustainment of improvements. This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze current healthcare business and operational processes, workflows, systems, and organizational practices.
Facilitate working sessions with clinical, operational, technical, and program stakeholders.
Document current-state and future-state processes using process maps, workflows, requirements, decision flows, and supporting narratives.
Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Conduct studies supporting system redesign, business-process reengineering, process improvement, and operational transformation.
Translate stakeholder and operational needs into business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation activities.
Develop recommendations for improving enterprise healthcare processes and supporting application systems.
Develop implementation plans, standard operating procedures, job aids, readiness materials, and process documentation.
Support workflow validation, testing, implementation, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
Coordinate with program management, informatics, technical, training, and change-management teams.
Support stakeholder readiness, adoption, training, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization.
Track process risks, decisions, issues, dependencies, performance measures, and corrective actions.
Evaluate implemented improvements and recommend refinements to support sustained performance and continuous improvement.
Prepare reports, presentations, process documentation, and executive-level briefings.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, information technology, engineering, public health, informatics, or a related discipline.
At least six years of relevant professional experience.
Demonstrated experience analyzing, designing, improving, or implementing business and operational processes.
Experience with business-process reengineering, process improvement, workflow analysis, or organizational transformation.
Experience developing current-state and future-state process documentation.
Experience gathering and documenting business, functional, or operational requirements.
Experience developing and supporting implementation plans.
Ability to facilitate meetings and working sessions with diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
Ability to satisfy applicable Government suitability and background-investigation requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting large healthcare organizations, federal, state, commercial.
Knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, scheduling, referrals, care coordination, community care, virtual care, or electronic health record processes.
Experience supporting enterprise healthcare modernization or digital-transformation programs.
Experience with Agile or SAFe delivery practices, including requirements management, backlog refinement, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Familiarity with process-modeling tools and methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN, or value-stream mapping.
Experience supporting organizational readiness, change management, training, user adoption, go-live, or hypercare.
Experience working across geographically dispersed facilities, programs, or stakeholder groups.
