AI Summary

The Senior Construction Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget by actively using schedules as tools for progress rather than just checklists. Key duties involve proactively managing risks related to money, time, and people, and solving problems at their level or escalating them appropriately.

We are Lot Squared Development (www.lotsquared.com), a house-flipping company in the Washington D.C.-Maryland-Virginia metro region. Our projects range from simple trash-outs to extensive remodeling additions.

We're looking to bring a Senior Construction Project Manager onboard remotely to help us keep our projects on track, on time, and on budget.

We aren't looking for someone to just sit at a desk and update a spreadsheet. We need an "Agent of Progress"—someone who knows how to move a project forward and isn't afraid to pick up the phone to make things happen.

This job is remote work-from-home Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm EST. Nights and weekends as needed.

If you’re a "go-getter" who likes to see results in a high-energy environment, apply today.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Moving the needle: You’ll use a schedule as a tool to get things done, not just a checklist to stay busy.

  • Managing risk: You’ll keep an eye on the "big three": money, time, and people. You need to see problems coming before they hit us.

  • Handling the "spectrum": One day you might be overseeing a quick renovation; the next, you’re managing the administration for a luxury estate.

  • Solving problems: If a problem is at your level, you fix it. If it’s bigger than you, you alert management immediately.

  • Communicating: You’ll be talking to construction managers and realtors. You need to be tactful, but you also need to be able to "lean in" and be assertive when a project is stalling.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A Self-Starter: This is a remote role. We don’t do "punch clocks" here. You need to be able to manage yourself and your time without someone looking over your shoulder.

  • Not Passive: If you’re looking to do the bare minimum or just "get through the day," this isn't the job for you. We need someone driven.

  • Construction/Project Background: You’ve worked for a construction or project-based company before and you understand how the gears turn.

  • Organized & Smart: You know how to prioritize. You’re smart enough to identify risks early and brave enough to speak up about them.

  • Future Leader: We’re growing. We want someone who can eventually step up as a Team Lead as we expand.

I was the first applicant for a remote marketing position that got listed on the company website the same day I applied. Had an interview within 48 hours!
