Intecfy is recruiting a Senior Cloud Engineer (Freelance) for our client in the Netherlands, a fast growing SaaS company currently evolving its core platform towards a modern cloud native architecture on AWS. The company is building a scalable, secure and AI ready infrastructure to support high volume data processing, real time workloads and future machine learning capabilities. This is a long term freelance opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys ownership, automation and building cloud environments.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement AWS infrastructure across compute, networking, storage and security
- Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters for containerized microservices
- Manage infrastructure using Terraform
- Set up and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting
- Support backend and data teams with infrastructure for scalable workloads
- Ensure security, IAM, cost optimization and reliability best practices
Requirements
- Minimum +5 years of experience in Cloud, DevOps or Platform Engineering
- Strong AWS experience in production
- Solid Kubernetes and Docker knowledge
- Proven Terraform experience
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Strong understanding of networking, security and IAM
- Based in Europe and available as a freelancer
- English B2 minimum
Nice to have (but not requiered)
- Experience preparing cloud environments for ML or AI workloads
- Exposure to other cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP or OCI
- Scripting experience with Python or Go
- Experience with serverless architectures
