The Senior Clinical Account Consultant applies highly developed skills to provide end-to-end clinical expertise and cross-functional partnership to support client engagement and improved program delivery. The role supports Sales and Account Management from pre-sale strategy through post-sale implementation and optimization by bridging the clinical value story from Product, the credibility features and configurations from Clinical Operations, and the data/analytical reporting evidence from Analytics—turning complexity into one clear, client-ready narrative and practical program guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide end-to-end Clinical Support Across the entire Client Lifecyle

 

Pre-Sale (deal support and solutioning)

  • Partner with Sales to shape clinical sales strategy, discovery, and solutioning aligned to client clinical needs

  • Translate Product capabilities into a credible, clinically grounded value proposition for healthcare professional audiences

  • Design and deliver clinical product presentations and demonstrations; address clinical objections and questions

  • Ensure proposed client commitments reflect real operational capabilities and configurations in partnership with Clinical Operations

 

Post-Sale (implementation, adoption, and performance)

  • Support Account Management with clinical expertise to drive adoption, engagement, and program delivery success

  • Collaborate with clients to implement clinical programs and initiatives and provide ongoing clinical guidance

  • Devise key account management efforts by providing clinical support, addressing customer inquiries and concerns

  • Advise on clinical best practices, workflow optimization, and quality improvement initiatives tied to client goals

 

Cross-Functional Bridging

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to bridge and translate across teams so external messaging matches internal reality:

    • Product: design product presentations and demonstrations for healthcare professionals, showcasing clinical value story, use cases, and roadmap-aligned positioning

    • Clinical Operations: communicate credibility features, configurations, workflows, and “how this works in practice”

    • Analytics: guide analysis of healthcare data, clinical outcomes, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices

    • Marketing: ensure alignment between clinical messaging and marketing materials

  • Package insights into client-ready materials (talk tracks, decks, FAQs, evidence summaries) that Sales and Account Management can reuse

  • Train and educate Account Management, Sales representatives and clients on clinical features and benefits to promote understanding and adoption of the company's products and services  

Clinical Support

  • Serve as clinical subject matter expert for client guidance, support, and relationship management

  • Stay current on industry trends, research, and relevant regulatory changes; translate implications into actionable guidance

 

Work Location / Travel

  • This is a work from home position and one may live anywhere in the United States, but must be willing to work Eastern Time Zone hours as needed for meetings

  • Travel: up to 25 % (as needed) for client support, to attend health fairs, conferences, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • RN with active/eligible licensure in state of residence

  • 7+ years of clinical experience in condition management, case management, PBM/Payor account management, or a related field

  • Experience supporting Sales and Account Management in a client-facing, consultative capacity

  • Strong executive-facing communication skills, including presenting to clinical and non-clinical audiences

  • Ability to translate product capabilities, operational workflows, and analytics into clear client narratives and recommendations

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with clinical program implementation, workflow redesign, and quality improvement

  • Experience interpreting healthcare analytics, outcomes reporting, and performance measurement

  • Experience partnering with product teams on clinical value propositions and materials

  • Familiarity with regulated healthcare environments and guideline-based practice

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$110,467.00 - $237,930.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
