You will provide comprehensive litigation support by drafting legal documents, managing discovery processes, and conducting investigations under attorney supervision. Additionally, you will analyze complex case documentation and assist in trial preparation, mediations, and hearings.
Position Compensation Range:
$69,000.00 - $115,000.00Pay Rate Type:
SalaryCompensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
Primary Accountabilities
Leverage significant litigation experience to draft and manage complex pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, deposition summaries, abstracts, legal memoranda, and correspondence under attorney supervision.
Analyze, organize, and summarize extensive medical records and other case-related documentation in support of discovery, case strategy, settlement evaluation, and trial preparation.
Independently coordinate and execute all phases of discovery and case investigation, including identifying key issues, developing discovery plans, and managing case deadlines with minimal supervision.
Conduct interviews and communicate effectively with insureds, company representatives, expert witnesses, fact witnesses, and opposing counsel. Prepare comprehensive witness materials, discovery responses, demonstrative exhibits, and trial support documents.
Apply advanced litigation knowledge to support trial preparation, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings, including preparing exhibits, witness binders, chronologies, and case summaries.
Maintain and oversee complex litigation files and electronic case records, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, compliance with court deadlines, and proactive calendar management.
Evaluate case files to identify legal and factual issues, assess settlement potential, and recommend additional investigation or records needed to support defense strategies.
Obtain, review, and analyze medical, employment, financial, and other relevant records; organize case materials; and prepare detailed statements of facts, case summaries, hearing outlines, and arbitration or trial contentions.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Demonstrated experience performing legal research, conducting investigations, gathering and summarizing medical records, indexing depositions, gathering evidence and preparing exhibits for trial.
Demonstrated experience preparing pleadings, motions, deposition summaries, discovery responses, and other legal correspondence.
Demonstrated experience with various PC software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Acrobat, FrontPage).
Demonstrated experience working with confidential documents and situations.
Solid knowledge and understanding of legal ethics rules and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
•Solid knowledge and understanding of tort and contract law, legal procedures, legal terminology, and the judicial system.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Experience handling litigation matters in Clark County courts and familiarity with local procedures and practices.
Working knowledge of Nevada civil procedure, discovery, and trial preparation.
Proficiency with LegalFiles or similar case management systems.
Demonstrated experience identifying, retaining, and managing expert witnesses across multiple disciplines.
Strong background in managing expert and discovery disclosures, including the timely production of records and case materials.
Proven ability to conduct complex investigations independently with minimal supervision.
Experience mentoring, training, or serving as a resource to other legal professionals.
Travel Requirements
Up to 10%.
