Lead technical evaluations and benchmarks for the Synopsys Custom Implementation Platform while deploying analog and mixed-signal simulation flows for customer designs. Provide on-site support, deliver technical training, and collaborate with R&D to resolve simulation bottlenecks and methodology gaps.
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You have worked in analog or custom design long enough to understand what breaks and why. Maybe you spent a few years as a circuit designer debugging convergence issues at 2am before a tapeout, or you were the CAD engineer who actually had to make the tools work when the flow documentation was three releases out of date. Either way, you know the difference between a tool problem and a methodology problem, and you have learned to ask the right questions to figure out which one you are dealing with.
Working with customers appeals to you because you like solving real problems on real designs, not just running test cases. You are comfortable jumping into an unfamiliar environment, poking around until you understand what is happening, and then explaining what you found in a way that makes sense to someone who thinks differently than you do. You do not need perfect information to get started, and you do not freeze when someone asks a question you have not seen before.
You are ready to own customer engagements with support from senior engineers when you need it. You want to get deeper into analog simulation platforms, learn how to run technical evaluations that actually prove capability, and build the skills to become a trusted advisor that customers call when something is blocking their tapeout. At Synopsys, you will work on real customer designs across analog, RF, and mixed-signal domains, and what you deploy will directly affect whether their chip ships on schedule.
You will join the Custom Implementation Platform Applications Engineering team, working closely with sales, product engineering, and R&D to support customers using Synopsys AMS and Custom Design products. This team focuses on enabling analog, mixed-signal, RF, and custom digital design flows, with growing emphasis on cloud-based deployment. You will work alongside experienced applications engineers who can provide guidance on complex technical challenges while you take ownership of customer engagements and build your expertise across the product portfolio.
At Synopsys, we want talented people of every background to feel valued and supported to do their best work. Synopsys considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, military veteran status, or disability.
In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter can share more specific details on the total rewards package upon request. The base salary range for this role is across the U.S.
