Role Summary:

We're looking for a Senior Analyst, Processing (Agency) who will provide loan processing support for our team. You will work with Underwriting Analysts, Underwriters, and/or Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae and Originations team on setup of loan applications and submission of loan packages. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple deals with competing deadlines.

What You’ll Do:

  • Independently coordinate and manage meetings, property site visits, due diligence activities, and key transaction milestones to support loan originations and underwriting efforts.

  • Assist in preparation, review, and submission of CPC applications, underwriting packages, Agency Multifamily loan processing documentation, and related materials, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program requirements.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact among Underwriters, Analysts, Originators, Agency Multifamily representatives, borrowers, and third-party vendors to drive transactions forward and proactively resolve issues.

  • Independently assess documentation requirements for new loan originations and ensure all underwriting package components are collected, reviewed, and submitted within established deadlines.

  • Manage and oversee outstanding items lists and due diligence tracking, proactively communicating with borrowers, sponsors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of required documentation.

  • Maintain, validate, and reconcile information within agency, company, and loan origination systems, ensuring data integrity throughout the transaction lifecycle.

  • Partner closely with Underwriters and Originators to ensure complete submissions and the preparation of materials for internal and external approval processes.

  • Coordinate the ordering, monitoring, and distribution of third-party reports, ensuring timely delivery and resolution of issues that may impact underwriting or closing timelines.

  • Monitor changes to Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, CPC, and other applicable program requirements and provide recommendations to enhance internal processes and controls.

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of loan files to confirm completeness, identify potential submission concerns, and escalate material issues as appropriate.

  • Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, training efforts, and other strategic departmental objectives.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant multifamily real estate finance or loan processing experience preferred.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.

  • Strong knowledge of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, affordable housing, and/or conventional multifamily lending programs, including documentation, underwriting, and closing requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of processes and driving transactions from inception through closing with minimal oversight.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and loan origination or underwriting systems.

This is a remote role available in Washington DC and Texas. Periodic travel to our Manhattan, NY office may be required. The salary range is $85,000 – $100,000, dependent on experience and market factors.
