Senior Accountant - Hybrid in Gaithersburg
About the Company and Opportunity:
- Our client is a highly regarded organization who is dedicated to the education community.
- Due to vacancy, they are seeking to add a Senior Accountant.
- Pay: $40-43/hr depending on experience.
- Hybrid: 2 days in (Wed/Thurs), 3 days remote
- Schedule: 40 hours a week, some OT possible
- Duration: contract-to-hire, depending on performance, fit, and needs of the business

Overview of the Senior Accountant role:
- Payroll (70 employees)
- Full-cycle AP
- 1099s for Vendors
- Expenses
- Reconciliations and Journal Entries
- Accruals
- Month-end close
- Budgeting
- Ad hoc projects/reporting
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related is required
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- NetSuite and Concur software's are a plus
- ADP is required
- Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
