We are seeking an Senior Accountant (all genders) based in Berlin, or remotely within Germany.
Your mission with us:
To strengthen our finance team, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Accountant. In this role, you will independently handle complex accounting tasks, play a key role in preparing monthly and annual financial statements, and help optimize financial processes. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for internal departments, auditors, and tax advisors.
Your tasks:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) for multiple companies.
- Responsibility for complex accounting transactions, e.g., provisions, accruals, fixed asset accounting, and account reconciliation within the group.
- Analysis and commentary on financial figures, variances between budget and actual results, and reports.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements in accounting and tax law.
- Assisting with the preparation of tax returns in collaboration with tax advisors.
- Serving as the point of contact for auditors, tax authorities, and internal departments.
- Supporting the further development and automation of processes, tools, and systems.
- Mentoring and providing professional support to junior accountants.
You bring to Lingoda
- Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship with additional training as a certified accountant (IHK) or a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting/finance.
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, preferably in a similar position.
- Very good knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB); knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
- Proficiency in common accounting software (DATEV, MS Dynamics) as well as MS Excel.
- Analytical thinking, a strong aptitude for numbers, and a structured, independent work style.
- Ability to work well in a team, strong communication skills, and a high level of self-motivation.
- Project or management experience is an advantage.
- Fluency in both German and English
