AI Summary

The role involves scoping prospects, building tailored attack theses, and translating continuous offensive testing into business risk for clients. Additionally, the Security Solutions Engineer will support post-sales activities and contribute to product marketing and thought leadership.

CovertSwarm outpaces cyber threats by constantly compromising our clients. We're hiring our first Security Solutions Engineer — the technical force behind our global sales motion, turning real attack paths into proposals that win.

About CovertSwarm

Our Hive teams swarm our clients' targets continuously, hunting for new ways in. The result is security advice grounded in real attack paths — across technology, process, training, and physical controls.

The security market is flooded with vendors promising revolutionary defence — most fall short. Meanwhile, offensive testing remains lacklustre, with outdated pen test methods missing the vulnerabilities attackers actually exploit.

Our model is different: continuous offensive testing for a fixed monthly fee, staying a step ahead of real adversaries. One service replaces the patchwork of pen testing, Red Teaming, and ASM tooling — so clients find and fix critical vulnerabilities before attackers do.

The role

A technical sales role at the heart of how we win. As our founding Security Solutions Engineer, you'll partner with Business Development across every region — scoping prospects, building the attack thesis that shows clients exactly how we'd come at them, and translating continuous offensive testing into business risk that CISOs and boards act on.

You'll be backed by a global team of ethical hackers, a strong marketing engine, and a leadership team that has sold offensive security at scale. You'll define the SE function from the ground up — how we scope, how we propose, and how we arm sales to outclass traditional pen-test vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Discovery & Scoping: Get under the skin of each prospect — their environment, security maturity, attack surface, and where risk really sits (internal, third-party, cloud, physical, people) — to shape the right engagement.
  • Attack Thesis & Proposals: Build a tailored attack thesis for every proposal — how we'd compromise them, and what the first 3 and 12 months of Constant Cyber Attack look like.
  • Security Value Translation: Articulate the value we deliver and how we work, turning real attack paths into board-level risk that lands with both technical and risk-based buyers.
  • Demos & Presentations: Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations tailored to each customer’s needs.
  • RFPs & Security Reviews: Own the technical side of RFPs, bids, and security questionnaires, and steer prospects through their own vendor-security and procurement reviews.
  • Post-Sales Partnership: Back Account Managers and Hive leads on existing accounts when needed — supporting renewals, QBRs, and spotting new attack surface to land and expand.
  • Product Marketing & Thought Leadership: Create market commentary for our site and LinkedIn, and keep our product collateral A1 — including sector one- and two-pagers (CovertSwarm for Retail, Finance, and beyond).
  • Sales AI Champion: Build the AI tools and workflows that keep our enterprise selling at the top end — tuned to each customer.
  • Competitive Edge & Enablement: Own positioning against traditional pen-test vendors and other Red Team providers, and level up the sales team's technical fluency.

What we are looking for

This role is built for a technical practitioner who can sell — someone who knows offensive security cold and can turn it into a story enterprise buyers act on. What we're looking for:

  • Deep offensive-security knowledge — credible on Red Team operations, adversary simulation, continuous offensive testing, and penetration testing, ideally with hands-on delivery experience behind you.
  • Pre-sales or sales-engineering experience selling technical security services into enterprise — or a strong practitioner ready to move into a customer-facing technical role.
  • A translator — able to turn real attack paths into board-level business risk, and hold your own with both deeply technical and risk-based buyers.
  • A strong writer and builder — proposals, attack theses, sector content, and the AI tooling that sharpens how we sell.
  • Self-directed and comfortable building a function from scratch, and working remotely with a global team. Willing to travel internationally as needed — to client sites and to support CovertSwarm at industry trade shows.

Reasons to join

Beyond working with some of the sharpest offensive-security talent in the industry, you'll get:

  • Fully remote, work from anywhere — travel only for client meetings and quarterly meet-ups.
  • Quarterly full company meet-ups – SwarmCon.
  • Work when you want — not a 9-5. Get the job done well and show up to core meetings.
  • Unlimited Training — anything that helps you, your Hive, and our clients.
  • Unlimited Holiday — take it when you need it. No prizes for burnout.
  • No corporate politics — we're radically candid with each other. Always.

Competitive base and uncapped commission — top performers paid like top performers. Our Board are hackers themselves.
