The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Scheduler to serve as a key link between patients and healthcare providers. This role focuses on coordinating care, supporting Registered Nurses, and ensuring clear communication while maintaining patient privacy standards.

You will collaborate with medical professionals to improve patient outcomes through effective care planning and well-organized service delivery.

This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule nurse visits based on patient appointments and coverage needs.
• Assign nurses to patients by identifying the closest available nurse using ZIP codes and Google Maps to optimize travel time and efficiency.
• Monitor and maintain nurse schedules to maximize productivity and ensure balanced workloads.
• Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate nurse availability, time-off requests, call-outs, or other scheduling conflicts.
• Reassign patient visits promptly to alternate qualified nurses when the originally assigned nurse is unavailable.
• Ensure all patient visits are appropriately staffed while maintaining continuity of care whenever possible.
• Communicate schedule updates and assignment changes to nurses in a timely manner.
• Review daily schedules to identify gaps, overlaps, or inefficiencies and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate scheduling records and ensure all assignments are updated in the scheduling system.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient scheduling operations and meet patient care needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in scheduling, workforce coordination, healthcare administration, or a related role preferred.
• Experience coordinating field staff or home healthcare schedules is an advantage.
• Proficiency with Google Maps and ZIP code-based routing to optimize travel and scheduling.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and changing priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely scheduling adjustments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience using scheduling software or electronic healthcare systems is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with nurses, patients, and internal team members while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Service Fee:

Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.

Hours:

US Eastern Standard Time (EST) - 9am to 6pm
